  1. Yes, I’ve heard something similar.
  2. Oh yes you can!! A bit of waterboarding never hurt anyone!! (well, not too many)… (ok, quite a lot really, but let’s not get picky)
  3. Decades ago I had a book titled ‘The Mind of a Mnemonist’; a true story and a fantastic read. The subject of the book in one of his methods, would place objects on an imaginary street, and when asked to repeat the objects in their correct order (could be 5 minutes after being read the list, or could be 5 days; it didn’t matter), he would bring up the imaginary street in his mind’s eye and proceed to walk down the footpath (in his mind), calling out each object as he passed it. Fascinating stuff! So…that’s what Demonlanders could do…have an imaginary street with each player standing next to the letterbox with their number on it. Should work like a charm!!
  4. I’m a fan of messing with peoples’ heads… nicknames should be cryptic!
  5. Following those ‘obscure’ nicknames, I was thinking that Onley could have the nickname of either Roy or Orb, after Roy Orbison (Only the Lonely).
  6. Maybe a dumb question, but what are those things some players (36, 32, 19 and another whose number I can’t see) are carrying?
  7. Definitely! The same happened to my brother and he ended up in ICU for a couple of weeks.
  8. That El Jeffo label always reminds me of the film ‘Chef’ in which the food truck is named El Jefe (head chef). Great movie by the way.
  9. No problem at all (I thought my wink emoji would have conveyed my attempt at humour - those people at Apple will be hearing from me soon!)
  10. Love it! Max in the blue tee?
  11. My comments were not intended as criticism of Kossie or anyone else… my musical tastes are actually very eclectic, although I’m not a fan of over produced anthemic stuff. Performing in a band myself (as I’m sure others in this forum also do), I do understand the entertainment value of music, but I have to disagree with the “one of the greatest female voices” comment… yes, she has an amazing range, but there is more to singing than just a great voice…Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Bjork, Grace Slick, Janice Joplin etc etc None of them have what would be considered technically great voices, but they were/are all great singers; but that’s just my opinion, and like with anything, it just comes down to personal taste. (but I do love discussing stuff like this😉) As well as entertainment, music is also an art form, and I suppose when it comes to listening to music, as opposed to making it, that is the the side of it that interests me the most.
  12. Off topic, but the owner of your profile name was, when I was a child, my surgeon at the Mercy Hospital when I had what they then referred to as ‘gravel’, in my kidney (kidney stones, I assume).
  13. Where did you see her? So good! My favourite musician is another Japanese composer, Ryuichi Sakamoto…I got to see him twice over the years; I don’t think I’ve ever felt so sad over the passing of a ‘celebrity’ as I did the day he passed away.
  14. Just a moment while I fetch my handy dandy (blue’s clues anyone?) guillotine. Actually, you do make a good argument, but I’d still love an energising little number like Sedated (a little Ramones never goes astray), or Jesus Built My Hot Rod by Ministry (cool? no, weird? yes).
  15. The thing I hated (and still hate) the most about this particular quiz, is that I now have that god awful ‘Movie Star’ song playing on an endless loop in my head…oh the humanity!!
  16. Just don’t go getting lippy 🤣Hardy ha ha!😂
  17. And one of them was former Demon Lily Mithen’s grandfather
  18. WTF?? It’s a long climb back from where Kossie just fell in my estimation. 😉
  19. Pretty much the same as ever as despite being on a break, the effects of the chemo just seem to want to hang around. I’m back on that toxic juice again starting from the 5th January, so any thoughts of getting down to Melbourne to catch some training are pretty much now on the back burner; probably for at least the next six months. But, as I keep saying, being the pragmatist that I am, none of this ever really gets to me anyway (at least I can watch the games on the tellie)… it’s the music that I’ll miss.
  20. Are you inferring that Jeffo is lacking something in that department? 😉
  21. I’m really glad that it all worked out for you and that you opted to control your own destiny, however… yes, there’s always a however…I’m having a really hard time reconciling the quoted line above, and the fact that you support the Dees 😉
  22. Pleased to hear it’s manageable without requiring invasive surgery! Take care and rest up for the big season ahead.
  23. Yes, I’ve got Pluribus down as a must watch (right up my alley) and likewise re the lead actresses in DCR. Another series I’ve been watching on Netflix and have been enjoying, is Bodkin…a very good Irish mystery/comedy.
  24. I know photos can sometimes distort reality, but if Tom Matthews (that’s him at bottom right, yes?), is only half the physique he seems to have in that photo, then he is going to be a lethal weapon!
