  1. Indeed Jazza! By the way, you wouldn't know anyone who might be able to put me in touch with a former business partner of mine named Ronald Blaskett (aka Tisket the Tasket)?
  2. Not sure if that was in reference to Gong Li or my comment about "...the dummy I currently have" - (which was actually a reference to my avatar, not a disparaging remark about my partner).
  3. Football incident...what happens on the field stays on the field. Lockett busting Peter Caven's cheek bone didn't seem to affect his becoming a Swan or his acceptance in the team.
  4. Maybe C&B and BH just like to let out their inner female. Maybe we should all try it... who would be your inner woman? I'd like to think mine would be someone like Gong Li, but I get the feeling I'd still end up with the dummy I currently have.
  5. And are these the same media pundits who regularly get mocked on these very forums for their lack of knowledge?
  6. Well, let's hope history repeats on the first point... as under the current regime, I seriously doubt that it would be a wasted opportunity as far as using the pick goes.
  7. He was probably just hoping it might shake off a few of the "abusers"
  8. Alternative way of looking at that is that at any other club (apart from possibly St Kilda), he is going to be under far less pressure to perform. At Melbourne he was expected to virtually carry the entire forward line and to win games off his own bat - yes he was being paid a lot to do that, but there is another issue that obviously weighed on him...he no doubt felt badly about being paid a large amount of moolah, but being physically unable to get on the paddock and earn it. The pressure must have been enormous, and being given Jimmy's #11 would have only added to that weight of expectation. I actually feel really sorry for him as he has no escape... play for the Dees and have all of that weight of expectation back on his shoulders or play anywhere else and cop abuse from disgruntled Dees supporters daily on his social media pages (this has already been happening despite no-one really knowing what he will do). He really is caught between a rock and a hard place.
  9. What did we get from them for the Brockster? I would have thought that at the time he went, he wasn't showing much more than Blease does, and at least Blease has pace and reasonably good finishing skills going for him (when he can get started that is).
  10. I have sons named Declan and Liam... but I'm not Irish and their mum is Japanese I'll take your word against mine any day.
  11. I suppose that depends on how the penalties are applied. If ASADA gives a similar sentence to the Bummer players as it has done for the Sharks players, then most would be available to play for much of next season. They could even be drafted to rookie lists.
  12. Uber Alex Georgiou ‏@UberAGeorgiou 11m Roosy said every player was on the trade table so I asked him what I was worth. His answer was: "Who the hell r u & get out of my office!"
  13. I thought it was Pordrick.... because at first hearing I thought they were calling him Baldrick, which was a bit unfortunate (but quite cool none-the-less).
  14. No, that would be Yogi Bear. Anyway, I'm a bit of a Stooges fanboy (of both "The 3" as well as "Iggy and").
  15. Looking forward to seeing that. I rate Rodriguez as Tarrantino's equal and find it very funny that he is able to create Spy Kids and films like Sin City, Desperado, Planet Terror etc without any difficulty in the transition at all... particularly the way he can have you looking at Danny Trejo (sp?) as pure evil one moment (the knife man in Desperado) and as the most gentle uncle you could imagine the next (Spy Kids). He's a very clever man!
  16. You know, as I read that, Inj my mind I could hear stirring music playing that kept building and building until it reached a wonderful crescendo at the end (at which point I imagined fireworks going off in the background). Nice stuff BB!!
  17. Sorry Redleg, I'm going to have to pull you up on this. Mo Fine does not exist. It is Larry Fine, Moe Howard and Curly Howard - others were Shemp Howard and Joe deRita who I think played Curly Joe. So, if you are going to call the poster out on anything, it should be his spelling of Moe (note the "e"). Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!
  18. Manly Warringah is a council area/district... the NRL team is better known as the Manly Sea Eagles and they represent the Manly Warringah part of Sydney. There are no doubt Manly Warringah soccer teams and AFL teams as well.
  19. Yeah, the way you are taking this whole thing, it seems you and he may have something in common.
  20. Well put it this way DC, I think I would take the MFC at its word that Mitch was suffering severe depression (I'm sure they would have had him checked by the best available), than I would the word of an anonymous poster who may or may not have had clinically diagnosed depression.
  21. You don't find barneymfc's comments offensive:" "I had a a problem with depression a long while ago it never leaves you,you are always on the alert for the tell tale signs it will return, docs advise it takes 2-5 yrs to recover it took me 5yrs .Mitch is a fraud ,a little boy who wants all the toys ,sure he can play ,but if it rains will he turn up ,the big sook ." and further to that, he then goes on with his wonderful couch side manner, to say: "I have to work for a living mitch lives the life of rilely coffee at 7 anootther at 11 home for a nap". This is an anonymous poster who may or may not have had depression, setting himself up as some sort of an authority, judging a person who has been clinically diagnosed as having serious depression. If that is not offensive, then I really do not know what is!
  22. I'm sure Roos will be fielding a lot of questions on AFL360 tonight... should be interesting. May need to drag out my old body language references.
  23. You say you had depression; that does not make you an authority on the subject. Depression takes many shapes and forms and has absolutely NOTHING to do with wealth, social status or whatever, It is, in technological terms, platform agnostic. Would you say the same about Robin Williams? Perhaps he took his own life as an attention seeking device... I mean to say, he had it all didn't he? So by your analysis, he must be a fraud. Get real!
  24. Uber Alex Georgiou ‏@UberAGeorgiou 4m Just had the weirdest meeting with Roosy. He just handed me a fistful of cash & asked me how I'd feel about killing a key forward #xmas4alex
