  1. This is some game by Trac.
  2. Perhaps settle down a tad re Weid. It’s a first hit out. Some of the best forwards in the game can’t stick their marks early.
  3. That was good stuff in the pocket from both Spargo and T Mac. Good signs this late in the game.
  4. Nice of T Mac to show up to the game.
  5. Watch them all jump back on board too.
  6. 48-45 to Crows. Your favourite player Spargo just missed a gimme. Langdon lining up for goal.
  7. Yep. This is Trac’s year. Lock it and load it.
  8. Absolutely the right call. Hopefully true.
  9. Anyone would think they’d won the AFLX premiership.
  10. I can’t be the only one so starved for footy that I’m watching this. Frosty already doing Frosty things in a Hawks jumper (I mean that in a complimentary way Mrs Frost if you’re reading this) Hill would’ve been a very handy pick up. Pretty jealous the Saints nabbed him. AFL app still has him wearing a Freo jumper ??
  11. That’s an amazing stat when you consider we played like dog’s balls for much of the year. To be in more than half the games at three quarter time either says something about our residual quality or the quality of the competition as a whole. Or both. If we can get fit (seemingly happening) and actually click in a manner akin to 2018, we should go far.
  12. Predictions close at the start of our first pre season match. Two days left to get in your last minute predictions.
  13. In. Simon / The Chunky Tulips Thanks for running again DV.
  14. The footage of the coaches talking to HB was what grabbed me the most. Really felt like fly on the wall stuff. Love it.
  15. True. We should get back to life or death issues of global significance like whether Oscar is best 22 and the state of Harley Bennell’s calves.
  16. Certainly possible. I’m all for playing commentators like Cornes like a fiddle. I’d like to think a lot of eyes will be the club this year regardless, but the level of media attention given to the disaster that was last season barely registered above passing interest. Anything we can do to get a bit of traction is worthwhile.
  17. Agreed with this. The doco was fine. Nothing mind blowing but enjoyable and I’ll never complain about getting a sneak peek behind club walls. The title is my only minor beef. It can be easily misconstrued (and has been). Other than that, play on.
  18. Well, at least they are confident. Let’s hope it isn’t overconfidence. Again.
  19. If he can build a tank worthy of an elite midfielder, there really is no ceiling.
  20. Later retitled to “Every win of the decade”.
  21. Got given it for Christmas and can’t wait to tuck in. It’s not often you get to read about the life of a superhero.
  22. It continues to amuse me how every player in the AFL is described in mainstream media as an “AFL star”. Even the first year rookies are “stars”.
  23. Merry Christmas one and all. Hope everyone’s noose, uh, membership scarf, arrived in time for the festive season.
  24. It's mainly about the functionality and potency of the forwardline for me. I have confidence in the other lines to get their [censored] together when you look at the personnel we have in there, but a heavy reliance on T Mac still raises concerns for me, keeping in mind that it looks like we are moving our best goalkicker from last season into the midfield. I expect Fritta to have a career best year, and Kozzie/Jacko could be surprise packets, but the level that the likes of Petty and Weid can achieve, along with Melky's ability to stay on the field will play a key role in the success of the season. I think Brown is a really smart acquisition. He may not be a gorilla type but he provides some much needed depth in experience and brings some mobility and smarts in the forward half. Why Essendon let him go is a mystery but I'm glad we have him. Clarry also needs to improve his delivery to the forwards. From memory he is statistically speaking one of the worst in the league. He's too good a player to be coughing the ball up as regularly as he does at present. He creates time for himself so he needs to use it to the full extent when disposing by foot because he is a very good kick when he takes time to settle. Overall I am confident we will move back into the 8. We absolutely have the talent to do so, so if we can't, there are other questions that need to be asked.
  25. It’s always chugged along just fine until this one year where people kept whining about there not being a template.
