I got asked to do a double shift at work. I said nup cannot do it. I said to a colleague I've been waiting to see my team unfurl a premiership flag & I'm not missing it. I really really hope we get a great crowd. Just to witness the unfurling of the flag will give me goosebumps because we haven't been through it. I hope we are loud and when our premiership boys run out they hear the biggest cheer for them. I do not want to hear from media people or read oh melbourne supporters didn't show up. I'm sick of hearing that over the years. I reckon the members will be pretty full and be rocking and I hope we have a nice easy win.

Gee we went from scoring 100 points last week to a lot less tonight. We were fumbly, Harris was unsighted and we dropped some easy marks. But we got the points and now get ready to do what the men's team managed to do. Win the premiership.

In a strange way I don't want the 2022 to start. I like being the reigning premiers. Yes I hope we go back to back but it's almost like I don't want other teams to take attention away from us. I'm already sick of hearing about DeGoey and Essendon when I watch the news. Maybe I'm a bit nervous about what will happen this season and Wednesday night.

Dam Zanker is a really good player and uses the ball well. But hope Daisy continues on from her good from last week and snags a few more goals and Harris just continues to do what she has been doing. And for a great win.

A first world problem I have to ask here. Compared to what's going on in Australia and the world right now this isn't a serious issue but for this game I have an important question. For people attending will you be rolling with your 2021 premiership tees or polos or sticking with what you usually wear. I normally roll with a polo but now we finally got our hands on these t shirts do I wear that now? It's a position I've never had to worry about before.

Got smashed in the clearances and centre clearances. Something to focus on to get right for r1. Look at least it happened tonight so we can iron out those kinks for 2 weeks time. We dropped some easy marks, fumbled and was a bit undisciplined. We aren't perfect. Get our good players back and I liked how after the siren our captain looked annoyed. But we get a breather, regroup and get ready for the doggies.

Players know the rules and will just have to get used to this showing frustration. Maybe instead of swearing just let out a yell to vent or swear under your breath.. It's going to be so hard for players that have a bit of a temper. But it needs to be consistent. I do not want to see a Dusty or Selwood or Dangerfield getting a warning or something. After watching tonight every player should now know to just shut up.

Can covid somehow affect DeGoey. I am so sick of seeing him nearly every night on the news training. I know it's not his fault he is the focus but honestly if he went to the toilet at training the media would report on it.

NO Grimes or trenners. But yeah maybe there is a reason for that but I can see why they have gone with this group. I'm just rapt Ron will be part of it this time. Never been to a premiership unveiling before.

Over the years and during those dark times when player after player would leave I'd think gee it would be great to win a premiership just to stick it up all those that walked out and all the ones that stayed loyal would be rewarded. I get now why they did because of culture, always getting thrashed and some people that worked at the club, ie coaches or other staff, but I look at someone like Howe and can't help but have a chuckle. Yes he left to go to the club he barracked for as a kid and was told he'd play forward which obviously didn't work out, but to see our boys get a medal and his season resulting in his coach and president both leaving and his club under scrutiny for other reasons and not playing finals made me smile. Mind you I'm rapt to have May and Lever down back

May as well not even bother with 2022. Mick Malthouse has said the bombers will win the flag.
