interesting that they have Whitfield (51 games), but have traded out picks 2 and 3 from that draft, not getting much in return for them either.. O'Rourke and PLowman only played 29 games between them in 3 seasons at GWS. Then we took Toumpas at 4, what an absolutely stinking top 4 of that draft I wish they had bid on him, we would have got him instead of Toumpas at 4 and therefore used our mid-20s pick on some other kid.. in other words, the steal we got with Viney was immediately nullified by picking Toumpas. Sigh.

it is a gigantic issue for this club and I don't know why it needs to be a certain distance of time away for you to be comfortable with other people discussing it what date are we allowed to discuss it, let me know and I will put it in my calendar

agreed. Chris Judd put the first nail in the coffin of what is now well and truly buried - the notion of showing loyalty to your club ahead of squeezing every last drop you can out of whoever will give it to you. It is simply not expected that anyone sticks around if there is a better offer elsewhere and it is very sad IMO.

I'm more in the camp that we had shyzen d'ment rather than bad drafting. All of the blokes in that picture would have gone very close to the picks we took them at, and at other clubs probably would have all been decent players.
