  1. I personally don't care- who wants to leave, leave- we will replace whoever.
  2. Sorry for some that I need to spell it out to them..I am saying for the MFC that Garland is capable of playing FB or CHF if needed or suited. However, he will not be picked on a continuous basis in that role.He most probably will play either HBF or BP as he did in 2010..
  3. Don't need him permantly there..maybe sometimes ONLY.. My back 6 are: Bartram Warnock Rivers Grimes Frawley MacDonald.. with the possibility of Garland,Martin, Campbell coming in if or when needed..
  4. We need to negate at times and Warnock can be a spoiler. And Rivers has not got the dash of Garland- no way..however I do accept Deeluded's point ..that on occassions he may play on a Franklin because of his speed- but I'd play Frawley in this role before Garland and another tall on Roughead. And you must have been sleeping up there as Campbell has played as a key backman for Hawthorn on many occassions in particular when Hawthorn needed a tall to play on a man mountain.. And I never EVER said Garland should play as a midfielder-I said, repeat HBF or winger. Or a replacement for Bruce- a versatile , flexible Mr Fix it..
  5. Are you saying that Warnock, Martin and or Campbell will not or should not get a game in your best team ?.Then, if that is the case I understand your point/s further. However, in my best team- one of the above, now we have a Sub and only 3 interchanges will need to play to assist Jamar..
  6. I concur..He could end up being the versatile replacement of Bruce..a Mr Fix it ..but I would hate to see his qualities being wasted in a negative sense..
  7. Respect your views also- we will just have to wait and see..because again I feel, the 4 major talls on the backline, now we have Campbell are Frawley,Rivers, Warnock & Campbell and I wouldn't be surprised if we re tried Martin done there as well when required. Therefore too many talls at the one time-na Garland definately HBF or Wing..GO DEES.
  8. I have always respected your views but definately disagree with ya on this one. Garland is to valuable as an attacking player , similar to a Harry O'Brien type. Creative, defensive yet an extremely attacking type.54 days to go, if I can count properly to our first NAB cup game, so not too long before we find out.
  9. I have been in Melbourne watching every game whilst you have been in Canberra sleeping.Garland has played on either as a HBF or BP for most of the games but he has been mainly the kicker in whilst Grimes has been sleeping.Wake in in 2011 at least.I have just watched 15 replays from this year to confirm my point. With the recruiting of Campbell as a back up ruckman/defender , you might ,and I hope he does, play on a wing this year..
  10. I thought it was a fairly reasonable assessment of where we are currently at-- Melbourne The Melbourne rebuild continues according to plan, the patient Demon fans increasingly bullish about their prospects. So, clearly, is the club, which has pointedly cut the apron strings to its kids, James McDonald and Cam Bruce no longer part of the equation. Pace and skill won't hold the Demons back, lack of strength and size still may. There's still a shortage of quality tall forwards, though a fit Liam Jurrah will make a world of difference. But the roll call of talented kids, several of whom have hardly played, is long and impressive, and the significant step up by more seasoned types such as Mark Jamar, Colin Sylvia and Brent Moloney has been critical. Can legitimately eye a spot in the eight in 2011. What they want for Christmas: Stronger bodies, steelier minds, and a few more stepping up to fill the leadership void at the top. With the inclusion of our list of 5 talls-in particular Campbell(if he can stand up), and our new training ground and facilities on hand should allow this to happen. After watching training several times this year, they seem fitter and stronger than years gone by- and they should. And don't forget we have natural leaders in many key younger players whom set the agenda re leadership in Scully, Trengove and naturally Grimes-they show the others the way by example. The best form of leadership IMO.
  11. No- he is a dashing HBF or could make a sensational winger. Notbig enough to be a tradional key Full back or Centre half back but could definately go there if required.A great versatile player. Warnock, Frawley, Rivers would be my key tall backman with Davis and maybe Cook developing behind them.I also see Tom McDonald being a key player there if we develop him accordingly.Garland is too critical of a player to not utilize his speed in a flank or wing position IMO.
  12. And a very large part of winning a flag is having a settled team.We can still develop players and this should and is on going but winning games and getting that winning feeling is also most important.I believe we should look at having a best team and having say 5 emerg.and concentrate on them as our playing squad..if injuries happen add accordingly.Similar to Geelong, Brisbane in the past and Collingwood this year. Thi doesn't preclude to allowing some ,say Blease, Tapscott etc.. to play if they are ready for it- if not develop them at Casey.I'm also hungry for a flag- but also greedy -I want a dynasty for this club -say 5 in the next 12 years..
  13. I'll take it---tell me how I can get on...
  14. Can it be confirmed that Wall has left and if so to what club? I would be very disappointed if it is Willy?
  15. Pretty poor effort by New Balance..maybe they should go to NQR .
  16. Your concerns are: List?, lack of specialist coaches? Where? I am very interested to get your feedback -as I believe we have got the stronest list possible.I think we have now the best development coaching list we have ever had. I look forward to your response.
  17. Well he got a free jumper from us a couple of years ago..
  18. And he is a MFC member as well.
  19. Are you disappointed with the 3 mascots..I'd prefer the old one-Ronnie
  20. Thanks Maldonboy for a great insight and welcome aboard..Great post for the first time.
  21. Don't argue with Roost IT- He has the score on the board...however I think we will get 37960 in 2011 and 40250 in 2012..if we play well in the NAB cup and make the 8..at least.
  22. What odds will you give me that the Dees end up on the ladder above the Saints,Bulldogs and the Kangas @ end of the year....come on E put up or shut up...
