  1. A great summary of what took place.Showed we need a Fevola type up forward. The players seemed lethargic, disinterested, not really wanting to be there. Need to come out and really perform against Hawthorn.Possibly playing against Bruce and Cheney may give them that extra spark. It would be interesting if Bruce runs with Green.
  2. Na- only saying that if he got dropped- and I absoluely don't think he has been told that.. that would be most probably our line up. Watts will play and as Rogue highlighted -What if he kicks 6 tomorrow night- wedon't play him, but he really has to pull up his socks.
  3. No way and when you deeply think about it- his form overall has been poor. Forward line of : Green Dunn Bate Davey Jurrah Petterd maybe their thinking. As stated, if he does get dropped- gee that would make headlines.
  4. If you are happy with the make up of your team- leave it alone. If you feel there is a distinct weakness, then try to improve it. Overall, I think you have a good solid team however you may have a couple of midfielders you may consider trading. You seem to have several plus interchangeables which I think are very valuable. An example -Douglas/Knights whom I see will gain alot of stats. It's ruddy hard - and I'm just trying to get a team to play HT in the opener. He has a strong list to pick from. And like all of us- who knows who is going to perform. This is the great test we done at selection. I wish you and all well. But none are allowed to wallop me especially HT.
  5. Surely our own Nasher may be attending. If so, we will be able to gain a report from him.
  6. So true, it is out there and the emblem looks outstanding, just ready for the Community,to dig deep for the club to be involved with us. All the stall holders, small and large business houses in the MCC precint should be given a marketing/ membership drive to "Come on Board" -This is another tool to get the 40k membership and other possible sponsors. As you know, the Chairman of BHP -Jac Nasser is a staunch Dee follower- however I doubt if he is a supporter. We need to gain followers but also turn followers into Supporters.
  7. At the AGM just over 12 months ago- Cam mentioned we were going to do something with the Melb City Council referring to seeing the Red & Blue around the city. Maybe he was referring to this but held up as a marketing strategy until we got the new emblem.I saw it today, looks outstanding, I felt proud looking at it.WJ maybe alble to confirm this.
  8. I was fortunate to spend some time with vice-president Don McLardy at our internal practice match. He is extremely devoted, loyal to Jim and the Board with great insight. His stategic vision is excellent. By God how lucky are we to have such tremendous wealth, knowledge and experience. They, all the members of the Board, have extremely great business acumen and savvy individually. Altogether an optimum tool to take this almighty club to the top.
  9. We will ALL meet at Gosh's paddock if we win..
  10. Good suggestion and they will make you feel comfortable.
  11. I'd hold Chips until he is ready to play ,whether it is Round1,2 5 or 10.Whenever.And you are struggling to find a place for Bate(refer your post#48) but you have him in your previous post at CHF.(AS ABOVE)
  12. I changed my settings as I have been away and expect to leave again tomorrow. I only have it open whilst in th country. However, privelged people like you and my other friends have my personal email address.
  13. Sorry for the delay. I have had a few issues on. I have replied with a rejection. Not interested in mid fielders. Not really interested in trading, but always will keep my options opened.I don't want to become Deeluded.
  14. Yep from Malaysia- you stirrer.
  15. Always here for you- please explain why? Got a decent trade? Or do you want to pick my team ? I can't beat a sprightly young colt like you.
  16. If nothing means more clearly that what he stated. -This is a good move for Casey and a bad move for MFC. That to me is very clear and direct..
  17. I am told from reliable sources that Lawrence played an outstanding game against Box Hill at the weekend. One of the best games ever seen by a recruit basically playing for his first time at a new club.(That is what I was actually told).Davey has stated- don't be surprised if he played for the seniors sometime this year. Great news hey?
  18. Demon Hill posted...I live in the Casey area and some of the short sighted comment in this thread is just plain ignorance and moral chest beating. The MFC have done the right thing for the club and it's sponsors by distancing themselves from this. That is all they have to do, it is then simply a decision for Casey. Yes, it is frustrating that developing forwards may get stymied by Fevola's presence, I'll give that, but whoever it is Cook, Howe etc, if they are good enough they will find room anyway. Whether at Casey or at Melbourne. I agree totally with these points but like to add..What if the MFC was truly behind the move, if not instigated it,but wanted the cover note of if...furthermore the MFC placed Robert Campbell on the Rookie list, suppossedly to cover the if, Jamar went down or to use him possibly as a second ruckman. What happens to the progress of Fitzpatrick, Gawn and Spencer in this scenario and isn't similar to Demon Hill pointing out re our young forwards. And the MFC stated it would be great to have Campbell around to help the young ruckman progress. If, and I mean if, Fevola does behave himself , he may,as I've stated earlier be a great mentor for our young forwards. Also Schwab has stated he was not concerned re Fevola's off field conduct- (note off field for RR to comprehend) therefore the MFC need to as Demetrio stated get their heads together and work it out. Gotch was recruited as he stated on Sen at around 7.30am this morning that one of his main factors of being hired was to bring on the younger players, therefore knows his commitments. Go Fev, Go Dees. Go Scorps. And lastly if he succeeds on and off the field the whole Casey area will win and also the MFC.. it could indeed also help re MFC membership through their alliance with Casey. Re the Old boy from the district comes home and succeeds.May even help us reach our goal of 40, 000 members- how knows.
  19. Firstly welcome back-I actually thought you may have left all together. Secondly, thank God we differ in our opinions.Anyhow it seems we will be able to judge the outcome at end of the year. Also I believe I have two strong allies-Jim Stynes & Gary Lyon. And may I suggest strongly that you read my post/s before you go off on a different tangent. I was referring to Betts as an example that Fevola may assist Wona-naturally on the field -not off it as you state above.
  20. Would not go sofar as to call him a great player-yepa developing player whom has a career ahead of him. Ialso don't think he has OP-but who knows?
  21. Thanks for your advise my friend . I think he can do OK this one. I will not be trading him. Also I swam atVictoria University yesterday with Brian Lake. He hope to be back around 4/6.But will not be pushing himself too far , too early.
  22. He also could become a mentoring role. Help develop the key young forwards. May alternate Full forward and centre half forward roles. He may even play Forward pocket. Cannot see much difference than when we had the alliance with Sandy- with Sautner playing at full forward or in the pocket. I can see him really helping our young forwards develop by showing them how to play positional roles. Players such as Cook, McDonald and Howe could learn a trmendous amount on field. It could be a gem pick up. Also may help forward pockets like Wona learn the skills similar to Betts when Fev was at Carlton.I cannot see it hurting the progress or development of our young list, in particular talls on field and Cam says he has no issues with Casey gaining Fevola due to his off field antics.
  23. I do understand and accept your reasons regarding your first two lines of your post, however, as I recall he came back to the venue as a true and great leader he, is because one of his teammates was in trouble and he tried to get him out of and got belted himself, I recall. No one accepts what took place. The only assault Fevola got into he got a bar attendant in a headlock, I recall. No doubt booze and gambling have been Fevola's issues and further to this-it is overall Casey's decision not ours. And furthermore, one great thing that the Debt demolitio has done for our great club is now not being in the dicatorship of the AFL therefore doing what they say. We therefore, should not tell Casey what to do also. Anmd furthermore, as you pointed out we pulled the rug from Casey back in 2009 when we would not allow our players to play- leading to Peter German going and Peter Faulk also.Lastly as I've stated his home life has been in tatters. Maybe the crayons you are sending him will help lead to a better family life, which may lead him to behave and play well for Casey which if they play finals will give great experience on the field .And what would a premiership at Casey do for this young team also.?
