  1. Fair comment this time maybe Stan Alves or even Ron Barassi should have been onit...3 Board Dirctors???
  2. We have one already --- West---at least he should know the directions, if not it should not be hard to learn , East ,South & North...when they get disollusioned.
  3. Schwab has nearly the most experience in the whole league regarding recruiting- players & coaches. The very big surprise to me was not having Connolly.
  4. Totally agree- there is enough with brotherly love in this comp as it is---without even contemplating anything like this.
  5. Thanks for your advice mt friend-- you can count on me NEVER GIVING UP & I will go down fighting... but one has to be realistic..I rate D/L7 a even money favourite to win the G/F..he held off against Robbo--Robbo will fight another day..Robbo actually was a bit stiff.. I have picked a team that on paper does not get within coee of D/l7 but I will give him a real run for his money..
  6. I'm always honest-- genuinely thought HT v's D/L7 was the huge game of the finals.Whoever one would go very close to pulling it off. Both of you had strong teams.D/L7 has recrited/traded extremely well over the last few weeks .,giving him great flexibility. He has very capable defenders, Centres, strong forwards, and a reasonable but improved ruckman. But, overall a very strong team. Dappa, with Sandilands is a very hard team to beat, one really has to play a tandem to beat him. However, JA , the premier last Year will be hard to beat. However, the brothers will work together G/F week to help each other..
  7. You can't trade - trading was finished weeks ago...but I'd take Scotland--I'd take Scotland for Stanton.
  8. Thanks for your support OMR- but truthfully D/L 7 has the team to beat me..he recruited very well.-beat me to the punch in picking up form boy- David Mackay whom played very well last week. He is on the boil with huge momentum. All the best with your match this week.Very interesting tussle b/w the two brothers..
  9. The only way you will definately get an answer is if you ask the question/s at the next AGM.I feel ,along with others that your questioning is very pertinant therefore I expect you to ask it then.
  10. Wrong again-- should have picked D/L7 & DAPPA DAN
  11. Dappa- again get it right-I never ever said Clark from Brisbane-- I said Clarke from Freo..that is whom I suggested. It was when Clark was out injured along with Sandilands..I was just being helpful to you..I'm not bignoting,ALL I AM SAYING IS THANK GOD YOU HAVE HIM because Sandilands WILL NOT PLAY LAST ROUND IMO.However, we both have to get there.I think you can beat your brother but me.. D/L7 is going to be almighty hard to beat..he has a better list than me.
  12. These last two games have given Sam great confidence showing he can make it and with a huge pre season he will mix it with the best.
  13. He is doing the job similar to what Podsiardly did at clubs Werribee & Geelong before being placed on GFC rookie list and that is kicking goals.I am sure KC believes he is worth a punt, after getting fit and serious about his current footy he is averaging 6 goals a game over the last 5 weeks. Consistent and good- more than I can say for any MFC listed forward player.
  14. Gee you are really struggling RR...comparing Fevola and Cook- you would have to be on the turps if you can't grasp that..Firstly..Fevola has been and could still be a quality proven experienced capable Full forward. JW is trying to establish himself in the team yet alone capable of being the player that even Fevola is now. JW-If you can remember Jack came to us as a 17 year old who didn't do a pre season. He played Collingwood in the Queens Birthday round and played a further 2 games. In 2010- he dubuted playing in Round 8 due to a back injury and played the rest of the 15 matches and has played 19 matches this year so far.Jack is now just 20 less than a year older than Cook whom doesn't even look like getting a game with Casey firsts for the rest of the year. And don't forget this guy was the young man that went down in a heap after getting a small touch up at training earlier in the year. He may be mentally and physically too soft for AFL in my opinion, or at least at this stage. that is the difference b/w Fevola, Watts & Cook.Maybe you should get to a few Casey games before your mouth off like you do.
  15. R.R -you surely carry on sometimes- Cook has been a disaster as a first round pick this year. One would have expected him to be a regular Casey 1st footballer not a Casey 2nds player whom is lucky to get a game there. No doubt there is major room for improvement but he does not seem to have the will,or the ability to succeed.Buit rightly so, he will take years that is why we need Fevola for the next few years or someone like him and ther ain't many.
  16. Gotch and the Casey Football club embraced him and what has he and he will continue doing back in return. And he hasn't embarrassed any of them..He has been a success and when he gets in the finals-Watch out - he will explode. Then, we will all(or some of us) hope, he was already on our list..or at least I will.
  17. We all or many of us and I think you, yourself, believed that at the start of this year we would be looking at winning a flag, say in the time area of 2014 or so.If that is correct,Fevola would have 3 good years to win as a flag along with the development of our young talls.Cook cannot even get a game at Casey firsts at the moment and is lucky to get a game in the seconds playing at CHF.Therefore Fevola is not taking over the development of him as a forward and earlier this year Fevola played in a forward pocket with Cook at FF.The potential of gaining Fevola has so much upside it isn't funny to our short and long term future. The next step in our development is what we all want and that is a winning feeling. And hopefully in the next few years a premiership cup.And Furthermore, Fevola is the slimmest he has been in years and is not suffering from the leg injuries he has for the last year or so at Brisbane.Get him mentally up by being on our MFC list and we are up and away.Bring it on,I say..
  18. What rubbish-(IMO) one gets the best resource to cover the worst weakness. That is not fantasy, that,- is just plain common sense that some have it, some just haven't got it, ...And Jim Stynes is a leader- he ways things up and looks at the best scenario for our club..He was one of the first persons to ring Fevola , when Jim was able to after Jim had tumours removed back ealier this year when he learnt of Fevola's experience in placing himself in the clinic.Claim that as plain fantasy if you like because that is a plain old fact.
  19. What rubbish-- with a new coach - whomever he is- will want the best he can get--If Eade coaches us-I can assure you the first thing he would want is to gain the best commodity to cover our greatest weakness. That is Fevola as a leading experienced proven full forward similar to him grabbing Hall last year.Fevola has 3 if not 4 good years in him.
  20. GOOD ONE OMR- YOU MADE ME LAUGH....
  21. No issue Anthony--we all forget things as we get older...and when you brain is not working(because of the bye) it gets harder..you and I should have a tipping competition this week---to see who wins.. I 'll go for Hawthorn Adelaide West Coast North Melb(but I hope Freo wins for your sake-- because if Freo looses-they will rest Sandilegs. Collingwood St Kilda West Bulldogs Melbourne.
  22. Todd Viney spoke firmly and directly on where we are currently and our prospects in the future. He believes we are a very long way from say the top 4 - still in development stage. He is hoping in the weeks he is coaching to get more from our midfield in particular stoppages and to tighten our defence. He is concentrating on these areas. He feels that Eade has the background to take the senior role.
  23. Dappa Dan jayceebee31, on 15 August 2011 - 01:43 PM, said: DD - you may call yourself Bart but I'd call you Anthony- got alot to learn as yet.. Hm. Missed that one... Anthony? I as referring of course to Bart Cummings. I get em up and going for the BIG ones. Well it does take time for you to get it together --and don't forget my assistance during the year-- where I strongly suggested you pickup Clarke as a ruckman. It would be ironic that the boy in you(Anthony) beats the old man (Bart) due to this type of assistance.Anyhow, doesn't matter as D/L7 has my measure however I do believe you are too good for the rest. But you are very slow in the brain at times and need to get it together... gee it is boring not playing.. lost momentum we are in the loosing seat..
