Davey and Grimes to swap positions. Davey won a best and fairest playing as a quarter back behind the play. Grimes is a ball magnet, but turns it over alot in the backline. We have all been waiting for Grimes to go in the middle ,and now is the perfect opportunity. Davey's kicking skills would also mean less turnovers coming out of defence.

I agree, but the intention was for the rest of the year ,not just a hit back hard for one game mentality.

Its not about being dissapointed in our performance,or feeling bad about our lack of effort. Its about being very very angry! The boys have to want to kill from now on. They have to have the attitude of heaven help who we are going to play for the rest of the season , because they are going to be in a world of pain!!! We cannot let them breath were gonna put so much pressure on them. The rest will follow.

The players seem to be content with themselves. Beamer and Sylvia parade around their muscles - But that doesnt make you a good footballer All this so called talent. early draft picks - all theory, doesnt matter whre youre taken if you aint got that intangible quality. (See Jack Darling) We got rid of our leader too early - Junior could have seen us through another 2 years and then hand over to Grimes The captaincy is weighing heavily on Brad Green -He is a different player Jones tweets and Surfs and loves life doesnt he? Moloney can grab and kick the ball - anywhere. Last night we continually bombed the ball high and long, we were under pressure so i can understand that, but when we have 2 of our players against one of theirs, and both of ours stand behind him, well that sums it up. We consistantly fail to place severe pressure on the opposition, this should be the basic thing that every else starts from, we dont do it, dont seem to coach it either!

I hate teams like Essendon and Collingwood but i envy them. They went out and got the very best in coaches. We need to do that now!!! They have had their chance, gotta get real tough now, even if we are hated.

Dont know what to say......feel gutted. Feel sorry for my 10 year old son,"I thought we were gonna be better this year dad" Im sick of defending us. Frawley has been so bad he should be dropped for Warnock, and thats saying something! Bailey to be sacked mid year,Viney or Connolly stand in coach. Roos or Malthouse next year.

Two certain points to come from that quarter. 1. Bailey will not be there next year 2. We are the softest team in the AFL

We were the bottom team for 2 years only a short while ago. Rome wasnt built in a day.

After 4 rounds We have a player in the top 2 in AFL goalkicking - Jurrah We have a player in the top 6 in AFL disposals - Moloney (and right up there in media awards) We are in the eight with 2 wins one draw and one loss Players such as Tapscott ,Gysberts getting senior games and improving Wona and Morton,and Bail in the side and getting better each week Ruck combo of Jamar and Martin doing very well Blease,Pettard,Scully,Jordie to come in still. We can still improve heaps with Watts, Frawley,Green ,Davey,Garland still to show their best form,(and you know they can/will do it) Ignore all the negative media crap.....we know where we are at and have to believe in the group. We can really only get better with more games in us. Sit back and enjoy the ride folks.

The Ox would be a great mentor for Watts. Heard him talk once about playing centre half forward. where to run etc. knows his stuff. Knew how to mark in a pack, and was a talented skinny kid who developed into a champ!

I felt exactly the same. Hopefully that will be a wake up call to the players, to play four quarters.

Do you think we will make the eight? If we dont beat Brisbane and ,the Gold Coast we will be in serious trouble. Its the good teams you have to beat to improve, defeating the two teams who will probably finish bottom 2 should be a given.

The way we have looked so far this season,i would have to say we were a better balanced side last year. Losing Junior and Bruce 2 players who regularly got 25 possessions every week. Junior and Jordie two of the top tacklers in the League missing. (Jordie will come back) Midfield looks so slow, Moloney and Jones too simalar. We need to try something drastic like Grimes and Tapscott in the middle. They are wasted down back, maybe give Jones a back pocket role. Jamar doesnt look as good as last year either. we seem to lack speed and defensive pressure in the middle. When someone goes to kick out no ones leads to the ball, no one giving an option, crazy stuff. I predict we will finish around 10th or 11th, and will take a step back this year unfortunately.(Richmond and Essendon to go ahead of us).

Joel has been showing some worrying signs : eg : panicking with the ball, taking too long to dispose of it and making poor decisions. I was actually surprised he was in the round one team after some of his pre season efforts. He cost us a few goals against the Swans. Rivers is in the leadership group so he is valued highly, and will probably get a few more chances before he gets dropped if ever. Long term id probably have Tom Mcdonald instead of Rivers and Cale Morton instead of Joel Macdonald

100% goer ala Grimes. Very much like a Paul Chapman, only tougher at the same age, and with a bigger kick. I reckon he will stay in the team all year, maybe only out for a rest.

It was a stunning debut by the boy carved in granite! Must be a rising star chance this week.

He is an absoluote idiot of the highest order! Some say give him a chance etc. etc..How many F.......g chances does a guy get. He has been booted out of 2 clubs already. We must keep this guy away from our players!! Stuff Casey they are a bunch of fools. We have to let them know if they sign him it will only be a matter of time before the partnership alliance is over. He has had squillions of chances, but people seem to keep giving him more, why???? He is a bloody Goose!!
