Disposal Efficiency
Yeah very hard to kick the ball running at full tilt. He almost seems to be going too fast sometimes as he covers the distance so quickly he doesn't have time to bounce so has to throw it on his boot.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I know you gotta give something to get something but no way are we getting rid of Salem. He's one of the few kids we have with a lethal boot

I'm a believer in Champion Data stats and analytics. It stacks up. TMac is one of the best defenders in the league regardless of the criticisms Melbourne supporters have

Jeff 'Wiz' Farmer
I was working that night, taped the game without knowing the score. Thought it was wrapped up, 2 seconds left then that free kick, in our backline, against Neitz of all people, to the Wiz of all people. Could not believe it, sat there stunned for about 15 minutes

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
They apparently see him as a future captain and perennial AA.

Crows board on BF seem to think it's a done deal Lever has re-signed with them for 5 years

I remember at the time there was some BS reasoning that because it was in the last round and the nomination occurred in the first week of finals it couldn't be included for MOTY contention. It sounds ridiculous so I could be misremembering but that is what I've always thought was the reason.

His 2000 season was phenomenal, 76 goals for a small forward. One game at Docklands against either Freo or WCE he kicked 7 or 8 goals including one off the ground from about 40 metres out in the pocket Not to mention his 9 2nd half goals against the Pies after being dragged.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Is May a FA? If he's not not sure how the Hawks can get the deal done. Edit - never mind just saw subsequent posts

What do you suggest the Match Committee do this week if you think Oscar should be dropped?

Didn't Hurley recommit to the Bombers last year? Pretty sure he's tied up

Clarence Oliver
Petracca is like Bontempelli in that he can have a greater impact on the game with fewer disposals. He may get the ball less but he is more damaging.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
If so that would reduce a major advantage the WA clubs have but may also help WCE win at the G (although Freo don't seem to have that problem)

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
North have made a few prelims in that time, hardly a Richmond type team you're talking about

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I thought Adelaide oval was similar dimensions to the G didn't realise it was narrower. Do you know what the new WA ovals dimensions are?

Clarence Oliver
He's got long arms so yeah he can play tall and is strong enough to clunk some marks

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Another Koschitzke? I'll never forget watching Schwarz interview him on some footy show and he just collapsed next to him. Scary stuff. Then a week later he crashes into an umpire playing VFL

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Something that shone through in the saints game was how good his vision/playmaking ability is. His possessions can really open up the opposition to create space for his teammates and he does it with a very attacking mindset (ie always looking to move the ball forward into dangerous position). I'm loving watching him play at the moment.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
The saints got spooked when Boyd went to the dogs for a million a season. They were gonna have a crack at him the following year when he came out of contract. The price tag made them think taking a key forward early is better than trying to trade one in and selling the farm in the process.

You always take best player available with early picks, draft for needs later/through rookie list. They also took Billings over Bont

In Jason Taylor we trust!
Talia would've been nice around now

GWS also had more concessions than the Gold Coast so the comparison isn't quite accurate. For starters they had two years of the "mini draft" that netted us Hogan and them additional top draft picks
