Can't decide whether this is finely-honed satire or just plain dementia.

I definitely remember Joe Cocker having to cancel a show (during my exams!!!) in the mid-70s because a lot of things went wrong. They then rescheduled the show to start at midnight after he had already done a show earlier that night, which was a spectacular success. And I'm pretty certain it worked so well that a few other bands did the same when they ran out of dates for an extra show. I remember trying to find my way home at 2.30am from Festival Hall after an awesome midnight show by, of all people, the Eagles (probably because it was their first tour after Joe Walsh joined) in about 1975, not long after Cocker did it. In those days a Joe show could be sublime, or it could be a mess. He was never "so-so".

Seems that #1 is settled as far as the Saints are concerned. Just that nobody else can predict them with any degree of certainty.

What? You mean they won't debut on QB?? It could be twice the hoopla! -
As they say ... to err is human, but to really stuff things up you need a computer.

You could preserve them for posterity OD!

If it were me, I'd be so blissed out for days after that 10-goal win that I'd forget all about who I needed to take revenge on. So I hope you're made of sterner stuff. And that you've got it all written down.

... And they'll whinge about it afterwards. And before. And probably during. It's North we're talking about.

Your life must be fascinating!!!

So why not Brad Miller????

Well the Latrobe Valley's probably never voted Libs, so that ticks the first box. Very nervous here in the western suburbs.

So where do you think they'll be turning off the power tomorrow to save the grid for the rest of us????

Pic wouldn't be half as disturbing if it didn't look so much like Dermie with a new hairpiece.

WELCOME BACK TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - NEVILLE JETTA
Akum replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nev has a lot in common with his 2008 draft mates Blease, Strauss & Bail. They have all spent a lot of time injured and showed promise in patches, and have had to play in one of the worst sides of all time, so it's not unreasonable to give them another chance. On the other hand, none of them have been able to sustain good performances for one reason or another. So 2014 is the make-or-break year for all 4 of them. Unfortunately, any who spend a lot of the season injured won't get another chance. -
Those bananas looked a bit ... er ... diminutive. Ladyfingers?? Has anybody ever tried plantains? Bananas on steroids.

WELCOME BACK TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - NEVILLE JETTA
Akum replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I liked it a lot down to here ... I think he's good at finding space in traffic (agility/sidestep), and his ball use isn't bad. And like one or two others, he seems to take 2 or 3 games to get into stride and show his best. His trouble has been that he's rarely been able to string more than 4 or 5 games together before getting injured or suspended. He'll never be in the top level of the midfield, but as the 9th or 10th mid + flanker/winger, he can make a solid contribution. Having said that, if he can't string a number of good games together in 2014, he's toast. But he's worth another crack, especially under a better (i.e. non-c-rap) coaching and development structure. -
Sounds like some think they know better though.

Funny you should say this. I reckon it would be exactly the same as Jack's position!
-
No, it needs to be at the top of the list.

Good thread title???

I'd imagine that Neeld would just want to satisfy himself that Cale was sufficiently disgusted with himself and sufficiently aware of what he should have done. I have no concerns with either man's response.

Yeah but which club does he play for? They only get head-butts to the fist, don't they?
