  1. He'll get two weeks. Really bad error.
  2. Good post, M. The thing about Jack playing Richmond is belief. He knows he can do it against them. He's done it twice before. If he can continue that belief, he'll be a very dangerous and handy player for us. I dare say, even a game breaker.
  3. 10 goals in the second half. Really impressed we hammered home the man advantage that we couldn't last week. I haven't looked at all the final quarter stats yet, but I'd say we won 90% of the centre clearances in the final term. Led by Jones (who was terrific, particularly in the last), Vince, Cross, Tyson and Viney all played their roles. All of those mids were great in the last. They really stood up. Some clutch goals in the last - Watts, Pederson and JKH. I thought the ball was just bouncing our way early on, sometimes it's your day. But another great team effort, Red Legs. It was great giving it to the Richmond supporters too. Hilarious. Oh and after some early nervy touches, Jimmy worked his way into the game well. How was the pass off the outside of his foot to Watts? Lovely bit of skill. Another great tackle on the forward flank too.
  4. He loves playing against Richmond. Well done, Jack.
  5. Disappointing that Frawley won't be playing. Interested to see Riley's first game for us.
  6. IMO, he's not ready. He had three touches in three quarters against Adelaide. I think he'll be a beautie, but Roos is doing the right thing by working him in slowly. He might get a full game once we're back from the bye.
  7. My old man keeps on saying if Blease isn't picked this week he'll be [censored]. I keep saying to him, until Blease can string a number of consistent, two-way running games together, he won't be going anywhere.
  8. I don't think Salem's engine is ready yet to carry out a full four quarter effort. Unless, of course, we start him and then sub him nearing the end of the third.
  9. I love this. I really want Jimmy to make it.
  10. Gonzo made a really good point the other day. He said that if Frawley doesn't play on Riewoldt, then Roos probably thinks Frawley is essentially out the door. I think Frawley will probably stay, but Roos seems insistent on letting the current back six do their thing, without any Frawley help. I think what we should go with is Garland on Riewoldt and get McDonald or Dunn to run off Vickery. I think we'll give Tommy Riewoldt again though. It appears like they keep wanting to play him on the opposition's best forward every week and it's less about the match up, than to hopefully build confidence for Tommy.
  11. I'm not Bail's biggest fan, but he has been pretty consistent this year. He continues to lead our tackle count every week. I've been impressed over the last three to four weeks. He stays, IMO. Ironically, it was Jones' lack of fitness/lactic acid build up that clearly hampered his efforts to score that gimme the other night. Still, I don't see him as a long term prospect, but for a bloke of limited ability, he's been terrific this year. Gee, I was livid at those two misses though.
  12. Who the heck goes to Zagame's for a night out anyway? Jesus. Go into the city. And that is not a nightclub. It's a pub with a pokies, that puts on some EPL matches on the big screen.
  13. So now it's a forum, where we're all allowed to express our opinions is it? Wow, you like to change your tune, Saty.
  14. I'm with WYL. We didn't really look like it all night. It's amazing (paradoxically) that we should have won it. We kept having to come from behind and every time we kicked one or two to even the score or get in front by one, the Bulldogs would answer with the simplest or arse-iest of goals. In this respect, it's very promising that we could match it with a team that is ahead of us development wise, with an up and coming midfield, who smashed us in the tackle count. In a year, we win that game. Our disposal efficiency will improve and you'll see those missed opportunities in the last being converted.
  15. Sorry, I wasn't keeping a close eye on the Jetta v Dahlhaus match up, but I did notice Dahlhaus had the most touches on the ground for most of the first half and finished with a respectable 22 touches. So we're saying Jetta played well because he kept Dahlhaus goalless? I thought Jetta was terrific against Adelaide and passable against the Swans and GCS. I thought he struggled on Saturday night.
  16. Had Frawley kicked straight and Matt Jones kicked two simple shots on goal we would have been home. We peppered the goals at the start of the last, but we just couldn't get that psychological barrier of a two goal lead. We squandered our chances and the opposition made us pay.
  17. Aside from our developing and exciting midfield, the most impressive thing about Saturday night was the large MFC crowd. I don't think I've seen that since 2010, possibly not even since 2006. Very exciting.
  18. The beauty is, he has a great foil in Nathan Jones. Who do you tag? Jones or Tyson? You can't tag both. Very excited by our young brigade, but Tyson just oozes class.
  19. I don't want Rawlings. I want Roos. Stick around PR.
