  1. I would have thought we might have looked at rookieing him, but given he couldn't get a place at all in 2014, I think that signals Roos' intentions pretty clearly.
  2. One of the weakest one on one defenders I can recall at Melbourne. Some of his kicking was alright, but certainly never looked elite. A bad pick by BP, so what's new?
  3. Tomorrow. I reckon we'll see the Clark deal done tomorrow. We need that pick ASAP for Lumbuma.
  4. And you think Roos and co have failed to identify this, do you? By all accounts he's a great trainer and clubman. He should add quite a bit to the MFC. When we get him we need to support blokes that actually want to come to Melbourne.
  5. So Lumumba is responsible for tearing Collingwood apart? Come on. He'll bring exactly what you've identified - much needed run and carry off half back.
  6. Disagree. If he hasn't signalled his intent to sign, we'll trade him.
  7. So you're essentially wishing injury on him then...?
  8. As rpfc said, we had no idea about the Tyson trade until essentially it happened. I agree with the rest of this though, RL. It is tempting to go young and if Roos and co decide that's the way, then I'll be happy. We hold the cards as you say, but I still think we'll look to trade both picks.
  9. You know what, DA, looking at any of those teams, they are pretty strong. With the exception of Grimes and perhaps McDonald, the disposal ability of the rest seems markedly better than this year. Funny that. The Dangerfield team looks dynamic and exciting when you add his simple name to it. Having an out and out star changes the feel of a team. Suddenly, the opposition have to deal with Dangerfield, Jones, Tyson and Vince. Not to mention a developing Viney, with Cross and Sewell in support.
  10. Yeah, I struggle with English. So where's Princess come into it? You seem to have glanced over that one again.
  11. I agree to an extent, HH. That's why it'd be important to have a trigger for a 2nd year. I can't see it being a problem if we took him for a year. Not much to lose, IMO.
  12. Which is probably just about the same as the Cross deal.
  13. Yeah, I'd be proffering a one year contract with a trigger for a second year based on lack of injury and potentially games played.
  14. Yeah, totally. You implied there was something wrong with a Princess, which believe it or not, is the feminine. The more you know.
  15. It's linked to the available cattle most of the time. You only had to watch even half of our games this year to see our players were incapable of basic AFL skills once under pressure. Get another 6-8 AFL standard players, add them to the 6 or so we picked up last off season and the four or five others we have and we can field a side that can win 8 or so games next year. We're not going to be playing Bailey's style of football, so if you expect that you'll be disappointed. With a functioning forwardline, you'll see a rise in forward thrusts and more attacking play.
  16. DL means, will the Pies be in the wilderness for the next 50 years? Is this a turning point? There certainly seems to have been a changing of the guard with Hawthorn's rise to powerhouse. If Buckley stays much longer they could well be in the wilderness for 5-10 years, at least mid table anyway.
  17. I couldn't give a toss how we win, just bloody win. That's the aim of the game, FCS. Given where we've been, I can't believe people are whingeing about game style.
  18. That Bulldogs forum sounds like some of the rubbish some Demonlanders proffer from time to time (read - regularly).
  19. That's right. I remember thinking he'd kick 10 that day. He was dominating his opponents and then went down during that second quarter. It seemed pretty innocuous at the time. Anyway, that's a nice little tangent, best saved for the MC thread.
  20. I thought Clark kicked four that game he broke down against GWS? My memory is rubbish.
