  1. Yeah, one of my mates was having a go at me for us getting him. I don't see the problem. Welcome HL.
  2. Can't see us going to the draft with our early picks and I hope we don't.
  3. Not necessarily. We courted Lyons last year as well. It's only natural we'd caught him again as his situation hasn't really changed much and neither has ours. We still need more mids.
  4. They may just cost us less too. GWS seem happy to trade with us a bit, so I'd say one of them is very gettable. Just not sure they'd let both go.
  5. He's probably off, yeah, but people are too eager to grab their pitch forks based on rumour and innuendo. I'd be waiting for confirmation before I start sprouting off abuse at people. (certainly not saying you're one of those though, mate)
  6. Surely we'd offer Shiel and Treloar big contracts. But Roosy also likes to go for those guys from left field.
  7. I reckon we're gonna need more mids than that, mate. I reckon we have to add three or four more. The likes of Matt Jones and Bail should be pushed out next year. Would love to start with Dangerfield and Shiel though.
  8. Bit of a creepy, invasive photo. Paparazzi Thompson.
  9. Posters on Demonland and across most of society, all too readily accept what is written in the press as fact. Most of it is speculation. MC and the MFC have not come out in the press and stated anything. It's been played back and forth in the media, just because MC or the MFC haven't come out and debunked any of the rumour or innuendo, does not therefore make it fact.
  10. Lol, that'd be great, but there's no way they'd give up their three best players and a promising KPP for picks 2 and 3.
  11. I'd take Conca for a second rounder though, if we had the appropriate pick.
  12. I'd prefer to keep Frawley if we were simply taking the pick to the draft, but I'm almost certain that won't be Roos' plan and neither should it be. His comp pick has to earn us an A grade mid. The earlier mooted trade of pick 2 for Dangerfield and pick 3 for Shiel is the stuff of wet dreams. If it came off (pun not intended), I'd be expecting between 8-10 wins next year - that is if we can get Hogan on the park and maybe [censored] a Reid or Jaksch. EDIT. Lol, s-n-a-t-c-h is censored. Sorry about that.
  13. I can't see them giving up anything willingly though, mate. The only reason they'd entertain the straight swap is because Ryder has essentially walked already.
  14. I'd certainly take Greene if the price was right (read lowish). He seems like a [censored] of a bloke and he certainly isn't an A grader, but if Roos and co can curve his seeming poor off-field behaviour and he improves his tank (via Misson), he could be a little win for us.
  15. Ryder would obviously have to agree to it though.
  16. Yeah, well, fingers crossed. Brave new world. I think we need to buckle down for FA. For the good and the bad. We've had some bad, time for some good.
  17. Well, if we get Adelaide's first rounder back (unlikely), this would become very much like the Tyson deal, but on a much grander scale.
  18. Roos is a sly old fox. All this talk about teams trading their stars before FA occurs. He started it.
  19. Yep. He had the chance to sign last year and didn't. That's what happens sometimes. Certainly a believable anecdote.
  20. Exactly. We made a small profit and as I understand it, not a cent of it was from an AFL handout. That was the previous year.
  21. I don't think anyone's saying that if we get Dangerfield, it'll be all good, rjay. But there's no doubt he would improve our team and I wouldn't be surprised if his signing inadvertently encouraged others to join.
  22. Particularly, if they don't realise it. And whether Mick wants to last another rebuild will also become a factor.
