Would much prefer Prestia or Mitchell than the injury-prone and questionable leadership of HH. He's inconsistent and really isn't a better long term option or even short term option than those two, IMO.

I really hate Frances Ha. A bunch of upper class kids whinging that they can't afford a $4000 apartment. Rent a cheaper apartment then you snobs. And give me some more plot, Baumbach.

New Major Sponsor: Automotive Holdings Group (AHG)
Adam The God replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hope they've signed a 20 year deal and AHG becomes synonymous with Melbourne like Carlsberg became synonymous with Liverpool. -
The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Adam The God replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wonder how a few wrist slashers will back pedal out of their constant criticism of Hogan... -
Each to their own, HH.

Agree with this. He's extremely strong through the hips, which enables him to shrug tackles ala Judd, Ablett and Dangerfield, but his pace isn't explosive like those guys. The Ricciuto comparison seems apt to me.

Mitch Clark - did we dodge a bullet?
Adam The God replied to thesleepinggiant's topic in Melbourne Demons
They may have their own equivalent in O'Meara. More than likely he never plays again. -
As I said last year, it's a nothing award. I can understand supporters caring when there's little to cheer about, but the skies look blue and our list is genuinely exciting. It doesn't matter if they didn't poll well in the Rising Star. I don't think any of them deserved to anyway.

Quite happy to keep the media expectations low on our young guns. We'll never know how much influence winning it last year had on Jesse, but I'd much prefer our guys being underrated by other clubs. We just need to continue going about our business and improving. The less pressure, the better at the moment.

Lyons is a bit like Prestia in that we've been trying to convince him for 2-3 seasons and he's never wanted to make the plunge or we haven't been able to satisfy his current team. Lyons had a very good year. He's an upgrade on Newton, Michie and Grimes. If we could land him relatively cheaply, he'd make our list better.

Nominations for the new Richmond Board
Adam The God replied to pineapple dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whatever happens, no way Hardwick is still coaching Richmond by the end of 2017. -
Depends on the price. I wouldn't say no immediately.

Neal-Bullen and Trengove won't make it and Jones will be 29 at the start of 2017. No way we're done for inside mids. In an ideal world Hartlett is a player we'd be after, but with no first rounder for 2016 and Hibberd already targeted to play a similar role, I wouldn't be giving up a good player (which is what it would take) or a 2017 first rounder for HH.

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Adam The God replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
I want him in a Melbourne jumper, but I've never said that's Prestia's strength. He is a ball magnet. I want him for speed and clearances and his ability to kick a goal. As for Brayshaw, yes, I disagree with you. I think he's a nice kick on both sides of his body, but his shorter kicking isn't as good. Is it worth a knock on him? I don't think so. -

Essendon and Carlton. In fact, it'd be great if this was a 2003-like draft with Richmond, Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon at the bottom. Carlton desperately need midfielders more than anyone else. Their midfield is bog average and surprisingly old. I hope SOS stuffs things up again. -

Adam The God replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rubbish. His kicking is a strength. He's penetrating and accurate across 50 metres on either foot. His shorter kicking isn't as good, but it's certainly not an easily exploitable weakness. Gus needs to work on his tank and getting it more. If he can do that, he'll be a damaging player in 2 years time and possibly one of the top mids in the game. -

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Adam The God replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
How was that word of an MFC player leaving? That was ADC doing his usual wrist slash, saying that Watts and co were idiots to sign on, implying we're such a hopeless mess. Has nothing to do with an inside word on a player leaving. ADC has been preparing his scarred heart for months in the small chance that Hogan might leave. He has no inside info, merely an opinion and one that is tediously pessimistic. -

Oh shut up, ADC, seriously. Why do you bother? Just wrist slashing the whole time.
