  1. To me it feels like the GWS coaching staff and hierarchy let the players run the show. And it's clear they don't call Toby out for his repeated wrongs. If they did he wouldn't keep doing it, nor would he be pleading not guilty. This feeds his arrogance and narcissism.
  2. I agree with what you're saying, but it's not being 'woke' or 'soft' to treat people with respect.
  3. When did I ever say that? Go and find it for me. I've said since about Round 12 or 13 that we're the best team in the competition. What a ridiculous post.
  4. Cameron regularly gets sucked out of position. As I think @Dannyz mentioned before the game, the match up was Smith v Cameron. Never listen to Channel 7 boundary riders unless they're Daisy Pearce. Abby Homles wouldn't know how to tie her own shoelace. Regularly gets injuries wrong and has no feel for the game at all.
  5. I also think our ground level vulnerabilities are overstated. We were excellent against Richmond and Sydney in greasy conditions when the ball hit the ground in defensive 50.
  6. 8th time that Oliver has had more kicks than handballs for the season. That would have been unheard of in previous years. He's still played some A++ games this season with significantly slanted handball to kick ratios, but it's this balance he's got in his game now that has made him IMO and in the opinion of AFL.com, the best midfielder in the competition. For him, he played relatively low TOG of 84% too. On TOG, we had all our young guys (except Bowey) register sub 70% TOG. Incredible management in a final. Rivers, Pickett, Spargo, Sparrow and Jackson carefully managed. Also, interesting to note McDonald only played 74% TOG, quite a bit lower than Brown or Fritsch.
  7. His mobility at ground level appears to have returned to 2019 standards, but as a few posters have rightly pointed out, he still requires a good defender and did take Harris Andrews a number of times last night. He stays in for the rest of the year, but who knows what our forward set up looks like next year. This may well be Weideman's position to lose next year. And yes, Daz, Gunston would be nice additional insurance.
  8. Given GWS' big injury list (Tom Green and Cummimg are massive outs, Green was involved in most of their clutch goals) and Greene's likely suspension, I think we'll certainly be playing Geelong. I'd much rather play GWS now, but I can't see it.
  9. He's done it all year and they bought it today, so I reckon they'll be done by it again. The Bulldogs are downright terrible to watch.
  10. Interestingly, just watched the last quarter again and Petty actually grabs at his hamstring late in the game too. Will be fascinating to see what thw club reports...
  11. I'd love to know how our most important player pulls up in Oliver. He definitely copped a whack in that game and didn't look the same after it.
  12. Has to be 1 week minimum, probably 2. It's completely unacceptable.
  13. Lachie Ash would be handy...
  14. Sure, but we won't be trading important players, so unless we can get a deal done another way... it's not happening. I'd also have Viney ahead of Cerra in bigger matches.
  15. My mind's not closed, you're just writing drivel. It's extremely clear that Gus is integral to the fabric of our core. If we were stupid, we'd trade him and risk undermining the culture and togetherness we've worked so hard to create, but we're not. Did you notice which award his team mates backed him for yesterday? He won't be traded unless he wants to go, which I can't see happening.
  16. We won't be trading Gus.
  17. According to one of the Hawthorn Instagram accounts 3-4 days ago, Gunston requested a trade in his exit interview. The same/next day, our alleged interest breaks in the media. Interesting...
  18. Hang on. What? Nathan Buckley? And Taylor Adams? I knew Weitering was a Melbourne supporter, as was Devon Smith and I think Adam Tomlinson. Not sure I knew about Shuey either.
  19. Let's say that that's a good omen.
  20. Yep, well done, Clarry. Brilliant. Let's get this flag now.
  21. Love this line from Kozzy in his interview from the MFC website today: โ€œFor us, itโ€™s just about making our Dees fans and our families proud.โ€
  22. Agreed. Large parts of Europe have made the call. Vax passports are in. If you want to be involved in society, then get vaxed like the rest of us. Even our Fed Gov has a passport system set up already. 11 weeks until my wife and I get our second AZ jabs. Most of my friends are getting their first shots of Pfizer in the next two weeks. I reckon by the start of November most people I know will be fully vaxed. Come 2022, as you say, it'll be the same as Euorpe. I'll be enjoying films and football again, and the unvaxed will be marching in the streets complaining.
  23. I'd be happy to do the trade provided we could land a reasonable replacement in a similar age bracket to cover for McDonald and Brown when they retire. I reckon Brown gets through 2 or 3 more years comfortably, but not so sure about McDonald. He's so hot and cold that he's so hard to predict.
  24. In what way?
