Demons will win the flag in 2022.
As much as I'd love to beat them in a final, playing them first round is the [censored] worst for our supporter base. We miss finals and a flag last year due to lockdowns and our first final back will have us scrambling for tickets like rats to crumbs. AFL Members is going to be a brothel. And not a good one.

The Run Home
I can't handle waiting out on other teams to determine our fate. Win the next 2 or bust. Should never have lost to Collingwood twice, should never have lost to the Bulldogs.

The Run Home
We'll bury Collingwood if we meet them in finals.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Last year is pretty much irrelevant right now. If we can't win big games down the stretch against big clubs at the MCG then our flag suddenly loses worth. We lose everything we gained. To Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond supporters, deep down they still don't respect us as a club. We beat the Lions in Adelaide, Cats in Perth, and Bulldogs in Perth. We need to start winning big games at the MCG. Otherwise were just the Lions 2.0.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I am rather astounded that they keep winning games the exact same way. Like as if teams are letting them win... Goodwin was badly outcoached tonight, and Collingwood played the MCG to perfection. The club should never allow such an extended period of time away from the MCG, ESPECIALLY not this close to the end of the year.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I am so angry at the club tonight for this alone. It was SOOO obvious. We looked like we had no idea how to play the ground. The club needs to start flexing some [censored] muscle here. Even if we don't win this year. How many clubs have EVER played 6 consecutive games AWAY from their home during home and away

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I am okay with losing tonight. We played a good team that many (including here) have underrated for too long. It was 65 inside 50s to 41. That is a 24 difference and we still lost. That is both an indictment on our offensive and a reflection of Collingwood's defense which again has been underrated all season. Clubs including Melbourne are allowing them to clear it via the flanks and then through the corridor with nauseating ease. We haven't played at the MCG for 7 weeks and it [censored] showed tonight. The club needs to flex some muscle and make sure that never [censored] happens again. I am so [censored] at the club tonight. Collingwood 100% deserved to win. But imagine your first home game in 6 weeks being this game. We were showed up. We aren't in [censored] Perth anymore. Grow some balls next year and make sure this never happens again

65 inside 50s to 41. That's it. That's the comment.

Strange quote from Freo coach
My view may be biased but Freo is setting themselves up to really [censored] the bed in their persuit for Jackson. Forcing favourite sons to retire, giving up draft picks, letting good players walk.... This has Tim Kelly written all over it.

Farewell Luke Jackson
That's a spectacular nudge-nudge reminder from Max. Really well crafted response. He definitely anticipated questions and was ready. He's reminding Jackson how good he has it atm.

How Geelong Stays Competitive
Interstate teams have home ground advantage on account of the crowd and noise. Adelaide Oval and Optus Stadium aren't difficult to play. GMHBA is literally designed to Geelong's advantage. They are the only professional team in the world with an actual *playing field* advantage given how ground stadiums vary here, but there's is as if it was drawn up free hand on a blackboard.

How Geelong Stays Competitive
They've managed their list well and bring in solid talent in the 23-25+ year old range. This means more matured bodies with more experience and capacity to go a full season and deep into finals. On top of that, they train and play 8+ games a year on a stadium that is far away different and worse than any other ground in the league. The WA and SA teams have a home ground advantage from the crowds. Brisbane probably from the humidity. Sydney is also tough to beat at the SCG but it's not "formidable". Geelong's home ground advantage is *literally* lies in the fact they're the only team that knows how to best play a really, really bad ground. The far wing is a dead straight line from flank to flank. How the AFL allowed this even with a redevelopment is truly beyond me. On top of this it's a super narrow ground so if you go down the flank and wing from the pocket it's a flip of the coin if you kick it to a contest or out on the full. It's a training run for them. On average based on this century they are guaranteed at least 5 wins a year playing there. That's halfway to finals.
