You could have said the same of Jetta in 2013.

The ironic thing is that when we were an awful team, Jones epitomized our absolute best. Now that we're actually decent, he epitomizes our worst. If someone askee, "How did Melbourne play in the first half?" you could show them a Jones highlight package from the game so far and that would answer their question.

I'd love to win tonight to both strengthen our chances, and also significantly dent a "resurging" Adelaide's chances. Sydney is absolutely gifting us a home final, if we'd beaten St Kilda and Geelong like we should have we'd be a lock for at least 6th. The problem with Adelaide, Sydney and WC is their tall forwards. I'd much rather be playing Richmond, Collingwood and Port again in these final 5 weeks because we match up better with them with both Hibberd and Lever out, and I'd fancy our chances more against them than the aforementioned. Given our outs, we are coming up against the worst possible teams. Just our luck.

Nothing wrong with what he said. Roos the following year did see some improvement but our last 10 games were as bad as anything under Neeld. We had a poor list and bad office, with Mr Whiteboard Wednesday running the show it was always going to be a challenge. he also landed us Hogan.

Helped make 2014 that little bit less horrid. Had some real blinders and probably won us the game vs Adelaide.

Of course mate, but I am a skeptical one because I believe the next step in our development is playing finals. We're at that stage now and will fall behind if we don't get that experience.
