Boonie never took the money and ran... He was always a Pro onfield, with extraordinary commitment and determination to the team, the game, and to his country. Boonie simply would never take a short step in his chosen game. He earned every single beer he wanted, and still had credits in his account. the key words are commitment, determination to the cause, and an honesty in his onfield actions few show. jw, would be the equivalent of his boot licker, at best.

I remember Hudson clearly. He was amazing judge of the ball flight and blocked space so his defender could not reach the ball... but in today's game, he has no weapons at all. He was not strong overhead, was slow, and can't lead without being caught. He isn't suited to a jammed up forward line. He would be ordinary.

It really starts this year for us. The Southern Stand rebuild... we should ask to take over the AFL enclosed area as our own. ...and have the AFL move to say the wing of the Southern Stand... or to the flank area Northern side, to the east of the MCC's enclosure. IMO we should control the Western (City) end of the Mcg... including behind the city end goals Lvl 1. As the Richmond Station rail line promenade is built, these should already be our areas.

I'm big fan as well... but he will be up against it as we improve our list. He HAS to keep improving. I love what he brought to us last year, a sort of point guard style.

I don't want us to be cherry ripe in February. I don't mind if we come on slow, in 2019 season. But I want us to be strong running still... in mid September.

He has the speed at the feet of the talls... to arrive at the loose ball before many... And then also he can create space as he leads at the ball carrier... with skilled players falling in behind... and/or gains possession around or outside 50M, to continue out to either give to our skilled mids/backs coming thru... or to prop, look for the short give off. As he goes back toward goal, he could also be dangerous on the return. I prefer our quick smalls around half forward, so they can lend a hand to the active ball in the midfield zone... or to come back deep to the talls, depending on how they read the play-set. So our talls start deeper and spread a bit, including Hunt. This puts pressure of 'tracca', to fire up to earn his H/F spot, or to get fit so he's in the starting mids setup.

I'd like to see him use that dash from F/F... leading up to win ball in some space, then turn & steady, to either give by hand or to spot the short option. I don't mind if he lead up to the wing, dragging his opponent with him. He has a long leg and would be a scoring danger for opponents.

I wonder as well, IF OMc will spend many games with Casey this year, as Hunt has done. Rebuilding his game and confidence. I sense it might be an in and out year for OMc. Once lever comes back in, it will be verty interestink.

His speed is such a weapon... a huge advantage, his game has developed around that alone... burning off opponents out in acreage. Run! Forest, Run!... Or Run! 'deGump', Run!
