  1. I see some changes this season in images... not seen him play 2019, Yet. He has cut hair short... and seems to be a bit more trimmed (more to go yet)... shows he maybe trying to shift his attitudes. I hope so, because plenty of extraordinary talents slip past, unnoticed... for lack of daring and mojo.
  2. I know that but his attitude does not correspond so far he has been satisfied to be in the , I know so and so category'... instead of becoming what he is capable of. He needs a more daring, and a more dedicated attitude to 'Become'... almost in a sense, her's too shy, too insecure to be 'Elite'... getting mad, getting angry (footy sense), being more aggressive about his footy, will help overcome the negatives. And help him produce.
  3. Happy circles? That's right... they are doing stuff with the club. trying things. They do not rest on laurels, nor sit on their hands. What have we done in the past 50 yrs. zippo... we've talked about this or that, and done SFA.
  4. I went looking for a test pattern to watch instead... but there wasn't one, so I listened to the news.
  5. I hope so he is capable of being elite, its just his head, and maturity. But time is sliding. If he doesn't get a move on, he will not rise to those standards. Habits will settle.
  6. Yeah, your right... it was the Rnd 20 game, i was confusing with this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_AFL_season#Round_20 Rnd 20 - West Coast v Melb... Subiaco Oval Rnd 21 - Rich v Melb... Waverley Park Rnd 22 - Melb v Hawks... Mcg E/F - Melb v Hawks... Mcg Saturday, 15 September. forced week off, due to the drawn final. 1st S/F - West Coast v Melb... Waverley Park We played the team above us, twice in 5 weeks... and also in the same bracket, played the team immediately below us (Hawks) back to back matches. Then we had that unexpected week off... because of the Pies v Eagles drawn match.. It was the toughest run, imv.
  7. Was it, the Eagles game.
  8. Beating the Hawks back to back... then coming up against the Eagles over in Perth, was too much for us. imv. 3 monster games in a row. Hawks our nemesis, was like climbing Everest twice in a row, IMO. If it was against another club, other than the Hawks, I think we would have gone thru with it. Wins over the Hawks back then, took everything we had within ourselves. very sapping.
  9. agreed 'J' ... Actually Nev would make a fantastic mentor for 'Tracca'. I think Tracs could do well adopting some of Nevs footy scripts. I really think Nev could help Tracs, get the most from himself.
  10. Beating the Doggies our at the Western Oval, Rnd 22... 1987 The entry point of our run thru September. http://demonwiki.org/1987#Practice_Matches
  11. ???? whooz that 'h' ? ... another Roman Emperor ?
  12. yeah, and we know what happened to Big Nick.
  13. The most heart broken was the recoerd score kicked against us, out at Waverley. when I was youngish. The most stunned and saddened, was the '87 Prelim, against the Hawks again at Waverley. The most Mind broken was, the Grand Final loss against the Hawks.
  14. ooh, I hope so. 'F'e'... If we are going to push into being a Real contender, we HAVE to have Tracca totally fit and firing like a Tank... not like a whimpy runabout.
  15. This.. is IT in a nutshell. It's a fn Grand Final. Not a fn pantomime. We were nowhere near prepared... to be mean and nasty enough, for a Grand Final.
  16. Bout time... about time Nev was given this Honour. A true Dee, and role model... for all indigenous and non indigenous alike. We could all take a page from Nev's book. Well done Melbourne, and congrats Nev. rapt with this.
  17. ... that's pertty good, I reckon.
  18. Neita was another... just too nice. too often. Not enough mongrel. often enough. Our club shrank away from that game, and the Bummers club... as we did with the Hawks club. .
  19. IF Petracca steps up in the midfield rotations this year, 'Oli' could play both forward, and inside the stoppages. IF.
  20. I see him also as possibly interchangeable with Melksham.
  21. two... quad's, i thought.
  22. ... maybe he's got Tennis Elbow, from flippin Jaffle irons. bloody Laura !
  23. Well played Bernie... but sorry mate, BOG must go to Abbie, imo.
  24. maybe go back to treating supporters and/or members... as they did back in the 70's & 80's_ prior to the new Northern Stand schemozzle, just for starters. Since they built that Northern stand... ordinary Mfc supporters have been treated as stateless. since then kids cannot get within cooee of the players race. Let alone the rooms, before or after. talk about 'Trumps Wall'.
  25. The gloves cover up the bloody angle. Less cuts with gloves than without... the more blood, the more likely to stop the fight earlier. But with gloves... bouts go longer, and boxers get hit much more because of this. Cage fighting, is more gory, for the bloodiness... but there are less head hits that do brain damage, IMO. So do people dislike the bloodiness more... or the unseen brain damage, more with boxing ? Than again, probably more dangerous is Horse racing, or other 'horse sports'... for both rider, and/or horses. .
