  1. is that payTV
  2. and Rory Lobb & Lycett.
  3. Covered walkway over the Richmond Rail lines... the promenade I believe covers the Rail lines and joins up the the Mcg at around Gate7,,, walk straight into the ground. Our Swan street building would join onto the promenade, from OUR 2nd floor.
  4. No one has proposed to build a training complex H/Q's at these suburbs Gonzo. You know that, anyway. We are talking about Gosch's, and Jolimont. And the need for Taxi trips to Jolimont from the southern suburbs. another coward.
  5. No, our H/Q's should be here >>> opposite 112 Olympic Blvd, Melbourne, Vic 3004 Across Swan Street from Gosch's Paddock. To be built backing up against the Richmond Railway Station... a 4 Story building, with underground & ground level parking... >>> we have to build over and across Swan Street, and the Tram Lines, and the footpath on Swan St up to the edge of Gosch's. Here > https://www.google.com/maps/place/112+Olympic+Blvd,+Melbourne+VIC+3004/@-37.8243568,144.9865561,261m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x63575fd647a0b2f9!2sMelbourne+Cricket+Ground!8m2!3d-37.8199669!4d144.9834493!3m4!1s0x6ad642943affc621:0x23259ce926eaf48e!8m2!3d-37.8245886!4d144.9868238
  6. It has nothing to do with how many extra minutes walk... It's the extra step in the chain they have to negotiate, that would put people off. I'm not talking game day. I'm talking about other days, weekdays, and for functions, or dropping in to training etc. We will lose support at the Yarra-Park location, instead of gaining numbers. Only the rusted on will still attend, instead of us growing. It's the commuter traffic on the trains heading home out of the city, that when about to pass our H/Q's,,, that this Swan St location would encourage people to get off the train on the way home, and drop in.
  7. Hi timbo. Not sure If you understood my post earlier. Our corridor (Malvern, Moorabbin, Bentleigh, Oakleigh, etc), is/was our strong hold from years gone-by, Re supporters. But that's Not my training location, suggestion. I'm suggesting we stay at Gosch's paddock,,, and build our H/Q (a 4 or 5 story complex), between Swan St and Richmond Railway Station,,, which should be built over Swan Street, across to the edge of Gosch's. Overseeing Gosch's and our training ground there. This is a big deal;,,, building over Swan St and the tramlines,,, but not as big a challenge as building over the Jolimont Railway lines. The thing is, we would be right on the doorstep of the Major Rail lines servicing the East of Melbourne, the Sth-East of Melbourne, and the South of Melbourne, all the way to Hastings/Finders, the Mornington Peninsular, and Eastern Victoria. The building at this locale would open onto the Richmond Station Promenade from the 1st or 2nd floor. This Promenade would take us along to the Mcg, City end,,, without having to negotiate ramps or steps/stairs. We can do this. .
  8. em, Bob Murphy is a beauty. The doggies modern day Dougie Hawkins... who also sang Robbie Flowers praises. Is rob sitch on here, demonland ? 'demon9' perhaps.... new know, a sitch in time saves nine. or something along those lines ? Actually, come to think of it. CH-9 could do with him.
  9. ??? Swan street is good enough for the Melbourne Storm, for the Pies, and the Tiges are just a Sand Iron away. There is enormous amount of footy going public, along the Sandrinham, Frankston and Dandenong, rail lines.
  10. Short walk to the train, in the rain?? Short walk to the train, with little kiddies? Short walk to the train, with people with disabilities. Jolimont suits the well heeled, who take taxis everywhere, and do not travel on metro trains. It does not suit the grassroots supporter AT ALL. IF the Victorian Labor Party see this as fact,,, then they will help us to build adjacent to Gosch's Paddock. And we can build over Swan St and the Tramlines,,, more easily than building over the Jolimont Rail line. and cheaper to do except for the apartment building. The ground floor would be undercover car-park, maybe even 2 levels, one below ground. So the 1st floor would reach out over Swan Street, above the Tramlines, with viewing over Gosch's.and training. It could have some membership retail area and cafe etc. The floors above, can hold the Gym, Footy Dept, Admin' Offices, Function Rooms for meetings, Social areas, etc. A building over Swan Street gives us passing traffic every day of the week to grow ourselves, and so easy to attend, and to leave for home. Easy for families. Easy for every-one along the Sth-East Corridor, who continually get ignored buy the AFL. Lets own the STH-East Corridor. We can if we want to.
  11. THEY are footy dumb, when it comes to footy clubs. They're good at the turnstiles, swyl. Thats all they are. They stuffed up,,, knocking down the Smokers Stand, And they took OUR players race, away from the Mfc members/supporters children... they couldn't run a footy club, if they had all the kings horses and all the kings men.
  12. The location in East Melbourne (Yarra Park) is Wrong. We are trying to grow the club base at grassroots level, and so this location is the last of the 3. I would think. We are aligned with Casey. And we're trying to connect with our original supporter base, which the largest is around Malvern to Oakleigh, Bentleigh, and those suburbs, etc. we are going to grow out in the Sth East corridor out from Melbourne's suburbs. we will have large prospective numbers of people out there, IF we can make a direct link Via public transport... Jolimont just makes yet another step in the transport journey, for those prospective supporters to undertake,,, in getting to, and leaving to get home. We are talking about the reduction of driving to games, and so the location IS Imperative to our Growth_ Location Location Location. We have almost everything right, except the locality of the home base. If we are to attract big numbers of our supporters to training, and to after-games, and functions, our new HQ should be adjacent to the biggest Rail-Line, and with Tram stops present, as well. It must be at the Richmond station, to attract our support base, and to make it easier for them, getting to, and home afterward. I say down with East Melbourne ----- It's just too hard for distant supporters, to make the trip, on another step to Jolimont. __ are we developing Casey, and the Sth-Est Corridor,,, or Aren't we ?
  13. the attitudes swyl. the attitudes that have led us to vote for directors we do not know nor come into contact with, Via the recommendations sent out to us in club letters. ... usually recommended as well from the mcc,,, all good and harmonious there, but at what cost, swyl. You are very negative about anything that shines a dark light on the things that you cherish, without any consideration from yourself ? 'the fish rots from the head' I believe I have heard you say many times, yet you still will not tolerate the thought, that something you cherish is actually cancerous. And killing itself, from the inside. - - - - - - - - - "Sloane overrated", another meaningless comment from you out of spite,,, about something you are weak at, judging player talent. Sloane is tagged week in, week out, for good reason. swyl. But don't let the facts hit you in the face with a cold wet fish.
  14. Large trees can be prepared, dug-up and transplanted, to new locations.
  15. persistent. We have to get this club winning in September. And save it from itself. Niceness knows no bounds, and is lovely, outside the theatre of battle. It is an imposter, within the forming of an army.
  16. I hope we are onto something, with the ranger.
  17. ah, bookend the Naidoc Week, perhaps ?
  18. We don't want to become the new Saints. unable to win at the 'G'. We can defend well currently at Etihad. Bit more difficult to control opposition, at the 'G'. We need more speed around the midsection, for the Mcg. The Flower's, Stretch's, Johnson's, all did well around the Mcg.
  19. That is, IF, we are on the money?
  20. Its really only the one injury, that has curtailed him mainly;,, a serious injury, a fracture to the heel. It's taken him a long time to get that one injury right. With a couple of other niggles around it, around the same timeframe.
  21. I think they are playing Frosty forward atmo,,, possibly a list management thing. To workout what to do at seasons end, Re him and Pedo, and our selections, this year. I agree FITB. Frosty was not mature enough for forward work a couple of years back, and he didn't have the confidence that a couple more years can deliver a person. He has now had a few years in the system and is maturing. physically/mentally. He could Yet become a forward follower, and he has the Ssspeed and mobility, to do the role TMc and Pedo have done before him. But he must start to take Strong marks around the ground, and inside Packs... has to crash packs.
  22. I think Petty will be an In, for his height match up, and his intercept skills. Oscar may need some help with Dixon. I reckon Tyson may get a nod to come in. And possibly Garlett as well. IMO, we 'played tired', last week. I called for a few players to be rested, against Crows, or Dogs games. I think we payed for that on the Q/B game.
  23. He played forward last week, I believe, VFL. Had a beauty of a kick, to a teammate inside 50, at CHF,,, surrounded by opposition.. pinpoint.
  24. cheers, layzie. How have you got on ? Can you elaborate anymore, on the issue, and resulting injury ? Treatment, recovery, etc ?
  25. I wonder if he has those hips that need the point shaved off, I recall an operation to some with genitic issues, where a point on the bone shaves the cartilage away ? just guessing. Some draftees have to Op before they start playing AFL.
