inside mids, in-unders... Oliver, Viney, Jones, Harmes,,,,,, Brayshaw, Petracca, Neal-Bullen, I would say of these boys, the first 4 are the real coalface players, and the others are opportunistic insiders. I think I see where your viewing things from.... we differ on what we call inside players (in-unders)..... I think, we only have 4 of what I would call in-unders in our B-22. The others I would term, as just inside mids. Now... no-one wants injuries, but they do happen. And we need cover. and we need to get more talented. Hannebury is a yes for me; unless he's murdered an underworld figure in the past 6 months.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again

you have no idea; rest is required for the older and the younguns, from time to time. All your mantra of 'work to be done' is just wishful thoughts based in nought. just like saty, based in nought. We need Bernie and Lew in September, and we want them fit and fresh. To aid the likes of Fritsch, and Oscar, etc. And we need to recruit more maturity, as these old codgers age. Bernie doesn't need it, as he is mature and smart anyway. It's Not about stats swyl, finals stats;,, its about composure, & that is mostly in older minds. All the talent in the world is useless without it. -

Nope, but they are both aging, and need rests. Just like thoroughbreds need rests from work, they all do. Bernie back this week, and a week, Or 2, off for Jordan, is how I would plan it. 71/2 weeks to Springtime. nowza time to rest those weary legs, before we get serious. -
oh, now, that settles it then;,, he's a MUST get now, its confirmed... he's the one. ... cause bryan fairfax told me so. ?

So, if we trade out Tyson, and Oli were to get hurt, we need inside ability. We shouldn't maintain the list that skinny,,, that we have no cover. I think Hannebury can be very handy,,, and with Tyson on the outer, and Jones running on fumes. We would lack class inside, in those circumstances. And we aren't as strong inside, as we like to think we are. We're strong, but not the strongest. We are amongst the other good inside mid-fields. Yes.... we need outside run, but we need speeeed, more than any other run. If we can guarantee we win the clearances,,, and get the ball out to our quick's, we will win way more than lose. We do not want to pay too much Lira to any one player. Unless a DShiel or JKelly bobs up. .

Anyone would think he's on drugs or something! Hannebury has been a topliner.
-
Would you think Hannebury better than Tyson?

We cannot afford every uncooked star. We need some maturity that is cooked, that's still resting. prior to dinner. This sort of mature talent helps guide us and maintains some cap space for the the near future for those who become available. We DO NOT want to lockup all our finances on one or two players,,, who may, or may-not be worthy.

well done ADD... great post.

Sometimes it can be awkward to know whether to attack the ball or spread to receive... perception/judgement, Re the decision, and timing.? We all have Tracca under pressure atmo, so maybe he is a little too conscious of decisions.
-
so lets get him.
-
didn't Murphy commit to the blues? ooh, disagree Werri. Why do you say that? I'd prefer Hannebury,,, unless you know something I don't?

Lets not overdo it; he needs to get some more work into him in the lower intensity, to give his body time to adjust to playing again. bring him up we might break his body again. If he keeps playing like this weekend; then I'd renew his contract for a further year, off the bat... to give him the time and the security to allow himself the time to come back steadily. If he continues with this brand, I can then see him possibly being that other bid inside mid??? which I've been pushing for. Now for Sloane.!

yep, your right. size does matter.

a wee but tall, to become a dangerous rover.

We do, we certainly do.

or simply change the title. -
agree Fif-5,,, Re JK-H I've been thinking that as well recently, Re JK-H, as he seems to get where the ball is,,, and is a good willing tackler. But I don't think he'll make it in our Mids group, with his speed. We have too may without pace already in our Mid rotations. I've been concerned about Nev in recent weeks, with the Hits he's copped. JK-H could be an option as cover.?

No, very tired. Sorry bing... I copied and pasted some players from another post last night whilst tired, to save typing,,,, and removed the players that I think should stay in. I removed the players who should remain in the side (not rested).. I missed deleting Fritsch's name from that group. He's a ripper. What I'm getting at with that list, is to rest players after Darwin, and to bring in those with fresh legs,,, like Vince, Baker, Bugg, for the Doggies game;,, as we rest others.
-
We'll need to bring in 3 to 4 with fresh legs, and stamina.
-
Outs from: Smith, Lewis, Fritch, Melksham, Spargo, Garlett

... not before the bye, we want a bye after our NT game. July is my bet.
