Yes... DD. We needy in other areas and Hoges has value. He and TMc want the same part of the ground now. Weide is a tall deep player. with little current value. but will be a beaut. Hoges, its time. Eagles or Dockers. Or Suns for that matter. Not emotional DOF... I'm as calm as can be. But we MUST find some class midfield players and runners. We cannot get them without collateral. Our midfield is very B grade.

We are maturing but its slowly. One year at a time across the list. But so is the fear of losing the big ones. This cultural fear,,, loss of composure has to be put out before we can move on. . And its time for the trade table this trade period, as well. .
-
I'd give Petracca one more season to shape into a Pro footy player,,, before shipping out.
-
He's not quite ready yet. He'll get his chance hopefully next year. The biggest thing we lack is quality experienced players. Yet another 1st gamer, would have done nothing for our composure under pressure.
-
He's not finished.. as a player, he needs to move on to another clubs challenge.
-
Its time now this year. And Petracca is too lazy and unprofessional. amateurish.
-
He made one good tackle I saw,,, but he WILL NOT contest in the air when there is no-one else around. Have to bring the ball to ground instead of letting their defenders mark cleanly.
-
Exactly, we stuff up in the area between 80Mtrs and 40Mtrs, from goal. We get a rush of blood to the head, under pressure,,,, once we cross the centreline.
-
. Jones is a leader, but he's a bottom 8 team, leader. He's the leader for a down out team that needs to climb thru honest hard work, and battling on. He isn't skilled enough,,, in our skill-poor side. He has been overtaken well and truly by Harmes and Salem, as a player. Its time to look to the trade tables. seriously... Jones, Hogan, Petracca. For what we can get for these players, and spend on others like maybe Lynch, May, and the draft.
-
?????? marks on Petracca, Hogan, .... and our midfielders use of the footy across the centreline.
-
not good enough under pressure, Yet.
-
The lack of composure spreads thru the team. Spargo did not start the lacking of composure. It was evident thru most of the game.
-
Our culture has to grow out of the losing FEAR. Composure is a must, in those ,little',,, 'critical', moments.
-
spot on BC. we are still too immature in footy smarts
-
Not enough one percent'rs when our player doesn't hold the ball. shepherds, etc, and dumb one way footy within 35 of goal.
-
Yes SWYL, that's right. We aren't going forward/upward with him in the team... near enough is definately Not good enough. We have enough slowish inside Mids, who aren't damaging by hand or on the scoreboard.
-
garlett just fucken piked it in the goal square!
-
Some of our players got the sulks going back to Casey for many many weeks. Two players have improved since,,, getting over themselves. Last player who didn't get over it, left the building.
-
. How many Melbourne players have been KO'd in games, behind play... and by which opposition clubs/ players ???
-
This is the key DL5. And we have to continue churning, to stay near the top of the list pile. We still have a way to climb to get to the top. Some of our kids are currently overrated on their output. Some are just starting to give.

To get someone with more speed and run into the team. Or to trade up in this draft. Have to trade something to get something. Bumping his value up. We have too many inside slowish Mids. And not any of value to other clubs. Tyson would be on decent coin as well.

Leigh Matthews was concussed fairly often in the first part of his career. Its been told to me that after a game when he was feeling unwell, he would leave the club quietly. Almost shy away. Both Brereton and Matthews copped their fair wack in games. And never made a big noise about it, when they copped it. Early 70's there was a lot of roughhouse plays. Balmey was quite the strong man. Ray Biffen was one who would not take prisoners. The Tigers had a few,,, as did Carlton. John Nicholls put many a player to sleep. The Saints had the Cowboy, Tony Lockett, and Big Carl Ditterich, as we did. Bummers had the likes of Don McKenzie, Bluey Shelton, Ronny Andrews, Dean Solomon. Pies had Weideman, Tuddy, Millane, Magro, etc Dogs had Charlie Sutton, Ted Whitten, and others. The VFL/AFL game is covered with hard ruthless players, since it's early years.
