Could we try and get inventive and do something like trade our 2017 is Round Pick to Gold Coast or GWS for one of their many 1st Round Picks this year? That could then allow us to on-trade it to Port of Hartlett selects us.

Yes we can. You have to use 2 first round picks over a 4 year year period. Nothing stopping us from trading our 2017 pick.

JKH mystery injury of the week. We know about Pedersen. Max King in the D League.

Matt Jones could be in the gun. Pedersen has been put in for early surgery which suggests he's safe. And i suspect White will get a 3rd rookie year going by Plapp's weekly write ups of his performances.

Unless we trade out someone like Neal-Bullen, i don't see the need for more inside mids. The only experienced delisted midfielder i've been interested in so far are Dal Santo and Harvey as Dal Santo can help with our kicking and Harvey our speed. Harvey would probably play more forward anyway.

Assuming we trade out Garland i think Tape would be worth a crack as a DFA assuming we can't land a Tom Lamb who i'm a big wrap for.

You hit the nail on the head here STMJ, I rate Nibbler, but even when we look at our midfield post Jones & Vince he probably doesn't make it into our top half dozen to 8 midfielders. I'd be more then happy to keep him, as he seems like a quality person and player. But if there's a decent offer then we should seriously look at it,

There is that risk. Then on the flip side, you don't play enough of your players and get beaten, then they can resent you just as much.....

Good to hear. There were 20 players who qualified for VFL finals, and as i saw earlier in the thread, Pedersen wont be available for VFL finals. But we should still have the following hopefully available: Salem, Trengove, Oliver, Dunn, Newton, Garland, Michie, JKH, Weideman, Hulett, ANB, Grimes, Spencer, Kennedy, White, J. Smith, M. Jones, Terlich & Max King Along way from the Bailey years when I remember heading out to North Port Oval to watch Casey v Collingwood in an elimination final and the only Melbourne players made available were Shane Valentti, Simon Buckley & Trent Zommer. Pretty sure German quit as Casey coach after that.

I don't mind Colquhoun. He's slight, but uses it well and has decent speed. Reckon White will get a 3rd year on the rookie list. Plapp rates him extremely highly. As others have said, Terlich is gone and i think Pedersen and Matt Jones are no sure things either. JKH, Nibbler to be trade bait while Dunn and Garland will be off loaded if there are any takers.

Will be interested to see team selection later tonight to see how many of our 20 eligible players are made available for finals. Already heard whispers that Pedersen has been sent in for early surgery. Would be good to see the likes of Weideman, Oliver, Salem, Nibbler and Hulett win a premiership as well as some of the older heads in Trengove, Grimes, Dunn & Garland. I'll be heading along saturday, hopefully to finally see us win a final. Despite us making finals every year since the alignment began back in 2009 bar once and having two top 4 finishes.

I'm happy with this. Hopefully where wecome in is where Nathan Vardy is exploring his options. I'll back us in to get the best out of him. Not sure that there is a best of Ty Vickery?

Wonder if a straight swap with the filth giving GC De Goey would get it done? With Adams, Treloar, Greenwood and Broomhead who was injured most of the year. The filth could almost afford to take that risk?
