Didn't see any of the last session, but to have them 7 down is alright, especially on that wicket. Knock them over for 380 or less and then bat well to make 500 and we take control. Important day coming up! Hope we bowl better in the morning then we did yesterday.

Said similar type player, not a carbon copy. Duncan's skills are better then Harmes no doubt. However Harmes has shown at Casey his ability to back himself and break the lines and link up to move the ball forward, he has good pace, without being electric. Also has an ability to play as an inside mid which he's done the last few weeks, but can also play outside like he did earlier on in the VFL season when all of Riley, McKenzie, Michie, Neal-Bullen were still in the team. I put Duncan in that same category of being able to play inside or outside equally as comfortably. I've watched Harmes live a number of times over the last two years including just last saturday.

No sign of Salem, but Kent was there and was looking ok. Would be a chance to return via Casey next week i reckon.

Yes sorry. My two year old was getting to frightened of checker the mascot, so had to head home.As mentioned H and Grimes did the whole session and after spending tbe first half of the session doing his own work, Gus joined the main group for the 2nd half and got through without issue. Vanders i only spotted at the beginning and end of the session, but i forgot my glasses today, so i'd say he got through without issue. Never saw Watts at any stage and there was a bit of banter between Viney & Harmes, so very strong chance we'll see him saturday.
-
Spotted Vanders right towards the end, so he must have been one of the players in a high vis vest, which is why i couldn't make him out without my glasses. No sign of Watts, but was a good session with Gus,H, Grimes & Vanders all getting through. A lot of work on quick ball movement/transition from the defensive 50. Went to the Casey Demons breakfast there this morning where both Roos & Plapp spoke. Plapp mentioned they could have up to 16 Melbourne listed players playing this weekend. Makes sense given the above named all getting through this morning.

Chris Dawes doing a little ruck work with Greg Stafford. A sign we may only have 1 ruck this week?
-
Gus in the main drills now. Looks set to play. Haven't spotted Vanders since first thing either.
-
Quicker then pig dog.

Should have worn my glasses today, hard to make out who everyone is as some players wearing different numbers. H & Grimes training strongly during match simulation drills. Gus still mainly training alone, currently doing goal kicking practice. And i haven't spotted Watts, but that could be my eye sight.

Medium sized mid with good pace, but capable of winning his own ball. Strong in the air and on the ground. Would imagine he'd play half forward/wing in the seniors. Done a lot of work on his defensive game, which still isn't great, but is a lot better then it was. He does make the occasional blue, but he'll fight to rectify it straight away. Think we could have a player in Harmsey. Has some similar traits to Mitch Duncan.

Couple of groups of contested ball work going on while Miller and Gus doing kick to kick and ground ball work.

Headed in this morning as 200m from home. Not much to report early. Gus & H are out there and are looking good. Dunny has a heavily strapped knee. And during their first jog around the ground, Jesse was at the back of the pack and not smiling. Should I be worried???

Funny session that one. I thought we bowled better, but nil wickets. The wicket looks like an absolute road, but hopefully we can maybe get them 6 down by stumps to be on track to keep them to under any type of huge score. Mitchell Starc has been a concern in the first two sessions, looks back to bowling the way he was before Warne gave him that massive spray. He played a few tests last Ashes Series in England, so doesn't have the excuse of not knowing the conditions. Fingers crossed for a big final session.

Pegged the run rate back a little since lunch and a few half chances with edges not going to hand. Get Root and the rest could go quickly!
-
Yep, as you mentioned we're already missing Harris at the moment. Watson may be useful on this wicket with his line & length. Siddle also. Having said that, the three quicks picked have certainly deserved first crack.
-
Hope that drop doesn't turn out costly, he's looking good! Although I said the same thing about Cook just before he got out, so hopefully that means Root will go out in the first few overs after lunch.
-
I certainly don't want to go praising the enemy to quickly, but they're looking good at the crease. Very busy.
-
Cook looking dangerous already.
-
Was a shocking over, but will take the wicket!
-
England win the toss and bat. The Marsh brothers miss out and Voges & Watson get the nod ahead. Lets hope for at least 2 wickets in the first session. 3+ would be great!
-
Got a special mention in this weeks Roos Views. Could he be getting close to being in the seniors this week?
-
Sad way for Rhino to bow out. Was looking forward to watching him, Hadds & Rogers walk off arm in arm after The Oval test celebrating a series win as all three retire at the one time. The XI for the first test will be interesting. My prediction: Rogers (can't go past his experience in England) Warner Smith Clarke S. Marsh (Voges very stiff) Watson (will be his final test series, so they'll give him first crack) +Haddin Johnson Starc Lyon Hazlewood Voges and Mitch Marsh knocking on the door!

Yeah, cause heaven knows once you loose a sponsor your not allowed to replace it with another are you?Hankook Tooheys LG Kaspersky Webjet All sponsors at one time or another of the club who aren't anymore. Do you think once the club looses a sponsorship that they don't have the capacity to replace it??? Or for example if we were to play 6 games in Tassie that their state government mightn't consider coming on board. Especially if Hawthorn weren't playing out of there anymore? Maybe you should think before you post. Would much rather the players backing up from a game in Tassie to a game in Darwin.
-
Dill still wants one team to play 6 games in tassie. Maybe if we offer to play 3 home games & 3 away games there once the hawks/north deals end then we can kiss the NT experiment goodbye? Edit: Spelling

After watching Max King in two of his last three matches at VFL level, I can honestly say there's no way that he's ready for AFL footy just yet.
