  1. I dont believe that you can be too hard on players. It is more about how you go about It.
  2. Bern - great effort despite his broken nose. You are forgiven for last week.
  3. Hopefully they will stay together. Anyone hear the troll Hawthorn supporter purporting to be a Melbourne supporter who rang the radio station to say that Hawthorn were already into Petracca. They apparently have had talks with his management re coming over to Hawthorn once his initial contract finishes. I hate Hawthorn supporter expectations that they will just keep topping up on other teams good players and keep winning finals.
  4. Given that Essendon is traditionally a difficult Club to deal with during Trade, a standoff with Goody is more than likely.
  5. Just as I was getting a little bit more comfortable.
  6. Thanks all those Demonlanders for coming down to training despite what was going to be a wet and blustery day. We made a nice amount of money which will go to the Demon Army to continue their great work - hopefully some more "heads". Great to see so many kids there. Yes Nev was swamped but not the last to leave - H was still doing laps. Very funny listening to Watts and Dawes sledge Petracca. Fantastic camaraderie
  7. Just a reminder to you all to come and enjoy the cold weather with the boys at their training session before Queens Birthday. Warm up with a sausage and hot coffee. There will be plenty of selfie time for the kids to have with their favourite players. Training should start at 9.30am. Also a reminder that Yarra Park will be closed for all games over the long weekend.
  8. If you go Sunday you could watch two games. Get there early and support Daisy and the girls.
  9. St Kilda defence played rings around ours. They were chopping and changing so much that Jetta, Dunne and McD had no idea and completely lost contact - result one of the smallest players on the field left to defend against one of the tallest. Really frustrating to watch but so obvious that I wondered why wasnt the runner out. St Kilda must have been licking their lips - easy pickings.
  10. Having players knocking doors down to get into the team is a first for a while as well. We are able to manage young players better because of this.
  11. If you were italian, Petrahcca is definitely correct. The "a" is the same as casa or allora and the emphasis is on the cc. Just saying. Isn't it wonderful what two wins does to Demonland. What a pleasant place it is at the moment.
  12. If you ever get the opportunity to hear Daisy speak, take it up. She is amazing. At last years B&F her speech drew people to their feet and a thunderous applause. We are very lucky to have her represent the Club on and off the field. My hope is that we can in some way include her in our Administration. She will bring people with her.
  13. Volunteers were in Monday and Tuesday nights doing usual renewal calls and achieved 50 odd new renewals so we hopefully we will have the record beaten by the Richmond game. Would be great to announce a new record on Sunday night. I would hate to suggest it might announce a renewal of the the mighty MFC. We should not though be satisfied with just breaking the record so all you Demonlanders who are able to purchase an additional membership, even an armchair membership($69), for a longsuffering supporter or a Collingwood supporter looking for a winning team to support, ring the Club on 1300 336 667 or go on-line and sign up another member.
  14. Love the image of the soldier on the front
  15. BD contact the Club tomorrow 1300 336 667 and confirm. You may just scar the poor boy for a lifetime having to sit with the ferals. If you are going to Gosch's Paddock to watch training don't forget that it is easier to catch the train into Richmond Station and walk across the road. Although DLanders say there is parking over the bridge and walk across. I am sure there will be plenty of good advice coming your way. The players are really friendly and I am sure your son will get some great autographs and selfies with his favourite players after training. Enjoy. What a great trip to do together.
  16. Harmes and Taylor had a "discussion" just around from the goal on the MCC members side on the boundary. Harmes ran off into the play with Taylor following him. The ball would have been at least 15-20m away and Harmes went down like he had been shot.Taylor kept running away with the Melbourne supporters going ape. Not one umpire saw the incident. Not sure if it was mentioned on any of the media at the time. It was a cheap shot.
  17. Can't be sure but that move may have been controlled from the box or the MFC Official at the interchange. Doesn't matter it was brilliant. When was the last time we have seen a move like that.
