6. Garlett 5. Viney 4. Spencer 3. N. Jones 2. Vince 1. Jetta I actually think 2-5 could go in almost any order, but it's worth a stab. Garlett clearly our best with 10 tackles and providing the only real sign of fight through the second half. Jetta was pretty good if unspectacular.

I'm very tempted to go back through that game and tally up the Umpire Goals. I think that last quarter would have been very different if we'd had the lead going in.

Of course he did. It's a free kick any day of the week. It's not 50m though. His option was to give away the free or not contest at all. He did the right thing, provided the contest he could and slowed down the play. The push was in the marking contest. Pay a free or a mark, but it's not even close to 50m.

Spencer has actually been pretty good tonight.

Sorry to harp on, but even in that quarter and ignoring the rest of the game, if they'd paid the free kicks to Jones and Tyson in the centre we'd be only six points down with all the momentum right now. Assuming we didn't score ourselves from the resulting attacks. Seriously, all we need is for the umpires to call a fair game and we've got them. This is ridiculous.

FMD. That was the best mark of Watts' career and they didn't pay it. We're still not marking players in the corridor. Probably would have conceded another goal there if the siren hadn't sounded. Of course, if they'd paid that bloody mark we'd possibly have had another goal ourselves. I get so sick of the Umpires changing games like this. If they'd called a fair game we'd be even at worst.

Have to pay credit to the assist from the umpires though. The eagles got the ball forward for both of those goals on the back of some fairly blatant frees not being paid to our mids.

Great transition for Spencer to nail a goal from the almost impossible pocket. Brilliant play.

Jeffy Garlett! Take a bow! He fought like (dare I say it) a Demon to keep that ball alive against multiple opponents, eventually chips to Toump in the 50 who passed to ANB for a goal.
