  1. He's a left footer
  2. jnrmac replied to Redleg's topic in Melbourne Demons
He turned him and his shoulder hit the turf. BS decision
  3. I dont think it was a footy accident. It looked completely reckless to me. He was never going to be first to the ball and just barreled into him I thought Taylor's dive over the ball to take out Petty's legs was bad as well
  4. What about the Petty handball to Langdon that went astray and hit the behind post. Paid as a deliberate. Garbage
  5. Refresh my memory about "constantly calling for him to be dropped"? Its a team game. You pull your weight. You get some leeway on past performances. But at some point you get called out.
  6. He has been a liability since the end of 23. Last year in the first halves when the heat was on there were 9 games where he has 2 possessions or less at half time. Lack of effort and tacking pressure is a cancer in a team/system game. When 1 player doesn't do it the system breaks down. But yeah he kicked 6 in a grand final so he can play how he wants for the next 10 years.
  7. Talent is nothing without effort. There are millions of talented people in the world who never make anything of themselves because of lack of effort.
  8. Fritsch was unsighted in the first half carrying on with his 2024 form When he first came to the club he was played down back to try and sharpen his defensive skills. He seems to have gone back to old ways. Not sure how much longer gets a free pass on his pre-2023 efforts.
  9. As much as Howes wasn't up to speed I would have benched Jefferson much earlier to bring on an extra running mid in Langford.
  10. It might be earlier than round 10 at this rate....
  11. Fritsch should be the sub going fwd. For the past year he has only ever played the second half of games.
  12. Saw that but he was likely completely gassed
  13. That set play is so standard for them. I was shocked we weren't ready for it
  14. Not surprised he was subbed
  15. They've kept Taylor quiet which is probably a plan
  16. Howes doesn't look up to it on this showing
  17. His last 30 games, first halves have been non existent
  18. Well done
  19. My thoughts exactly. Goes missing for too long in matches I thought MJ hadnt done enough but we got to blood the kid sometime....
  20. Carlton has a lot of ordinary players. And they have lost 8 of their last 10 games with their 2 wins being against North and West Coast. McGovern, Haynes, Cowan, Saad, Acres, Kemp, Cottrell, Williams are not up to it for senior players. The look at the young guys Lord, Motlop, Fogarty, Evans, Camporeale - average but early days As for McKay - gosh he's hopeless
  21. See yourself out thanks...
  22. The Giants team looks weak up fwd without Hogan. B: C.Idun, S.Taylor, H.Himmelberg HB: L.Whitfield, J.Buckley, L.Ash C: J.Kelly, T.Green, S.Coniglio HF: X.O’Halloran, T.Greene - C, B.Daniels F: D.Jones, A.Cadman, M.Gruzewski FOLL: L.Keeffe, T.Bedford, F.Callaghan I/C (FROM): C.Brown, C.Ward, C.Stone, J.Leake, C.Angove, L.Aleer, O.Hannaford, J.Wehr
  23. A great story and one of our best. But his lazy defensive efforts at times takes the shine off him for me. As you have compared him somewhat to Bruest I was intrigued by Bruests defensive numbers and Bruest's tackles and handballs so I checked and they are a cut above (also 8 x 40goals incl 3 x over 50 goals). Fritsch is not the team player the Bruest is. If he could only add that to his game he would be one of the AFLs all time greats. Nonetheless he is a great Melbourne player and congrats on 150 games.
