  1. Juice gets his third after a pass from Cook. Casey 55 Port 89.
  2. Goal for goal as Port leads by 40 points. Casey goals to Maric and Fieldsend.
  3. Half time and Port lead by 42 points after dominating the first half. Casey Scorpions 5.5.35 Port Melbourne 12.5.77 Goals Casey Scorpions Newton 2, Maric Petterd Wall Casey, with 15 AFL listed players, are being taught a lesson by the stand alone Borough team which is playing with great endeavour and moving the ball around the ground like pros. Garry Ayres should be putting up his hand to coach AFL. I appreciate that it's probably easier to coach a group of players he has at his disposal every week but Port simply looks better all over the ground in every facet. Prospects for promotion next week? Only Joel Macdonald.
  4. Late in the second term Port holds a 7 goal lead after kicking the last three.
  5. Jetta unselfishly passes to James Wall for a nice goal.
  6. Juice Newton kicks his second but a Strauss kick off hits an opponent for an easy goal. Port lead by 31 points and looking the goods.
  7. Port are a well drilled side and are making the most of their opportunities with the breeze. Casey's turnovers have been costly. Quarter Time Casey Scorpions 2.2.14 Port Melbourne 6.3.39
  8. Another 50 m penalty results in Port's fifth goal. They lead 33 to 14.
  9. First goal to Port after a 50m penalty was paid against Matt Fieldsend who intercepted when the ball was being returned for a Port free kick. Juice has just replied.
  10. Teams lining up an I can't see Matthew Warnock out there.
  11. Final Siren - comfortable win to the Borough and they're playing "It's a Grand Old Flag" Casey Scorpions 2.2.14 3.5.23 7.9.51 9.11.65 Port Melbourne 6.2.38 10.6.66 15.7.97 22.10.142 Goals Casey Scorpions Fevola 3 Howe 2 Bell Carew Fitzpatrick Purves Port Melbourne Pitt 6 Sengstock 4 Burstin Mullins 3 Scipione 2 Allan Dermott Free Smith Best Casey Scorpions Salton Tynan Petropoulos Collins Purves Allen Port Melbourne Woods Henderson Pitt Thornton Baird Free
  12. And right on cue, Fev accepts a pass from Jack Fitzpatrick and boots a goal. I don't believe Troy Davis is out there. Haven't seen him at all.
  13. Nice snap for a goal from Jack Fitzpatrick which earned a high 5 from Fev. Tommy Mac is playing well. The siren goes and Port leads 15.7.97 to Casey 7.8.50.
  14. Nice goal on an angle from Jeremy Howe narrows the margin to 33 points.
  15. I've arrived at TEAC Oval and we're in the third quarter. Tommy McNamara has just passed beautifully to a slightly portly Brendan Fevola at full forward and he's slotted it through from 50 out. Not that this has done the Scorps ressies much good - they trail 5.7.37 to 12.6.78.
  16. Probably won't happen but why don't you get down to TEAC Oval tomorrow at 11am to find out?

Fevola picked for Casey Scorpions' reserves Troubled former AFL star Brendan Fevola finally finds a home with VFL club Casey Scorpions for 2011

  19. Comfortable 27 point win to the Scorps in the end. Casey Scorpions 1.1.7 4.6.30 8.13.61 13.14.92 Geelong 5.2.32 7.6.48 7.8.53 9.11.65 Jordan Gysberts got a lot of it in the middle. Aussie had a very good game, especially after half time and Juice booted five goals. Must go to a function I'm about an hour late for but will fill in some details if I can later tonight or tomorrow morning.
  20. This might sound trite but the Scorps took over completely in the ruck and the midfield and gave Geelong no chance. Gysberts and Aussie were superb. Maxy Gawn's ruckwork was excellent. They didn't score until late in the quarter and that was just a couple of points.
  21. The Scorps have fought their way back into the game and now lead by 11 points. A totally dominant quarter and the lead could have been greater but for inaccuracy in front of goal. Casey Scorpions 8.13.61 lead Geelong 7.8.50.
