Everything posted by KC from Casey

  1. Dunn hands off to Fev for his third after a nice burst of speed from Sam Blease.
  2. Beautiful mark to Cook for his fourth. Petterd's game attracts a couple of blemishes with poor disposal down back. The defence is becoming sloppy and Pies have kicked three of the last four goals.
  3. Campbell is still being handled conservatively at the moment. He's probably getting about 60% of game time and, when off, he spends a bit of time with the trainers being massaged and doing stretches. Casey has started the quarter strongly with a free kick and a great shot at goal from Tom McNamara on the boundary followed by a fantastic snap from Blease on the run. Dunn has just sold some candy for his fifth and, all of a sudden, it's Casey by 53 points.
  4. Three QuarterTime Casey Scorpions 5.1.31 12.5.77 16.8.104 Collingwood 1.4.10 5.6.36 10.10.70 Goals Dunn 4 Cook 3 Fevola McNamara Maric 2 Mohr Petterd Stockdale Kelvin Lawrence injured again.
  5. Free to Dunn in front of goal but play on and a goal to McNamara but Collingwood replies quickly. Lead back to 7 goals.
  6. Petterd does well to break through for a goal. Scorps by 41 points.
  7. Two quick goals to Collingwood makes it a 35 point game as the Scorps start making some fundamental errors.
  8. Poor handball from Stockale turns it over for a Collingwood goal. Fevola replies.
  9. Fev gives off to Cook for a great snap goal.
  10. Half Time Casey Scorpions 5.1.31 12.5.77 Collingwood 1.4.10 5.6.36 Goals Dunn 4 Cook Maric 2 Fevola McNamara Mohr Stockdale Game marred by what looks like a bad knee injury to Brad Dick
  11. Casey dominating as Fev marks and goals. Pies counterattack with Brad Dick goal and another after a turnover but it's still 41 points to the Scorps.
  12. Michael Stockdale, returning to form after last year's knee injury, has a long run, passes to McNamara for a long goal. Then Mohr bounces one through from a long way out.
  13. After a quiet period for the Scorpions, the moustachioed Dunn slots through his fourth.
  14. Stockdale goes forward and snaps a nice goal.
  15. Beautiful goal to Addam Maric for his second gives Casey a five goal lead.
  16. Fev has missed a couple of easy ones in between a Maric goal. Pies goal to bring the margin back to 23 points.
  17. Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 5.1.31 to Collingwood 1.4.10. Goals Dunn 3 Cook 2 A good quarter against the breeze.
  18. And Dunn kicks his third. Petterd, Dunn and Bate all starring for the Scorpions.
  19. Dunn sharks the ball for a goal to answer the Pies' first. Casey leads by 16 points.
  20. Two goals to Cook who has been impressive early - one from a mark and the second from a snap.
  21. First blood to Lynden Dunn but the Pies, with the wind, doing most of the attacking - 1.0.6 to 0.3.3.
  22. It's a beautiful day out at Casey Fields for the Scorpions' big pink ribbon day promoting awareness for breast cancer. Big crowd considering the fact that the game is being televised and nothing could be better than to knock off the Magpies in the prelude to Queens Birthday. Casey reserves went down by 10 points to top four team Werribee Tigers in the Reserves after leading all day. 24. The playing list has now been updated and includes Brendon Fevola. Wade Lees who previously wore # 25 now carries 88 - the highest number on the list.
  25. Bad news out of Casey tonight about inspirational club skipper Kyle Matthews who has had further scans on his injured leg. The injury was incurred a few weeks ago and it was thought he would be back in one or two weeks. Initial scans showed all clear but the latest scans have confirmed that he has a fractured fibula and will miss up to 8 weeks (subject to getting his specialist's opinion. Hopefully Kyle will make a speedy recovery and we will still see him in action for the Scorpions.
