The Casey Scorpions are kicking against the breeze but they're off to a flyer with 3.0.18 to 0.1.1.
Best opened the goal kicking and then Taggert booted the next two.
Jesse Hogan came down awkwardly and looks like he's hurt his knee.
Dominic Barry isn't playing.
Of Melbourne's three emergencies for tomorrow, Max Gawn and Dan Nicholson are out there. Cam Pedersen is the likely emergency for tomorrow's game.
With two rounds left to play the Scorpions return to Casey Fields for their final home game against lowly Bendigo Gold who have yet to win a game and who would have to pull off a minor major miracle if they get the points. Despite some shaky form of late, Casey would hardly be likely to want to give away the double chance.

An anecdote from the game:
In the second quarter with Casey kicking to the scoring end, Sam Blease picked up the ball on a HFF and pinged away at goal and just missed.
His opponent immediately got stuck into him and called him "hungry".
Quick as a flash, James Magner responded, "Yeah, but he's too f*^%en good for you!"
Siren and Casey wins an extraordinary game by 31 points.
That should seal a spot in the top four and I'm outta here.

Those who want to know who's doing well - the answer is nobody. That quarter was as poor a quarter that I've seen at Casey since the alignment began. They have the scoring end but the Dollies have their tails up.
The better players are the unfashionable ones - Rodan and Magner.
Jimmy T and Sammy B are doing OK but most struggled that quarter.
Frankston now 22 points in front after their 7th for the term.
There goes the siren and its Frankston 9.6.60 to Casey 5.8.38.
The Dolphins have all the momentum and the wind isn't strong enough to save the Scorps.
