  1. Scores level at the 5 minute mark of the final term as the Bombers have done all the attacking. Hogan off with a knock.
  2. Three quarter time: Casey Scorpions 8.3.51 lead Essendon 5.8.38 with the Bombers having the wind in the final quarter. The breeze is worth 4 goals so it's not looking good for the Scorpions.
  3. Bombers have held sway this quarter and have just hit the front with a goal.
  4. Casey Scorpions open with the win and lead 2.3.15 to Essendon's solitary point at the 12 minute mark.
  5. Big win to Casey's Development League team. 6. Incidentally, I won't be able to provide reports from the game tomorrow due to a family commitment. I will try to provide scores from time to time but would appreciate it if others at the ground could provide updates.
  7. With Box Hill losing to the Northern Blues and Williamstown struggling against Port Melbourne, a win tomorrow becomes doubly important to the Scorpions with the VFL announcing finals venues. The top two teams have the right to home ground advantage in the first week of the finals. Week 1 (Saturday August 31 Sunday September 1) Qualifying & Elimination Finals Top two teams at the end of the home and away games would be eligible to host a home final. Two remaining games will be at North Port Oval, Port Melbourne. Week 2 (Saturday September 7 Sunday September 8) Semi Finals Both games at North Port Oval, Port Melbourne. Week 3 (Saturday September 14 Sunday September 15) Preliminary Finals Both games at North Port Oval, Port Melbourne. Development League Grand Final to be played on Saturday September 14 as a curtain raiser. Young Guns game to be played on Sunday September 15 as a curtain raiser. Week 4 (Sunday September 22) Grand Final Etihad Stadium will be the venue for the Peter Jackson VFL & TAC Cup and Grand Finals
  8. The Scorps won easily last time they met in one of the early rounds. Will Casey overcome its injury woes and beat the Bombers? The game v Essendon is the club's annual Pink Ribbon game. The players will wear pink jumpers to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Congratulations to Casey Scorpions Captain Evan Panozza who will this week play his 100th Senior VFL Game for the club. A great achievement in the VFL these days! 9. Thankfully, the game's over. Casey Scorpions 3.2.20 4.5.29 6.9.45 8.10.58 Werribee Tigers 2.2.14 12.5.77 13.6.84 17.12.114 Goals Casey Scorpions Hogan 3 Hill 2 Barry Rodan Tapscott Werribee Tigers Maric 5 Brown Castello Daw Harper McKinley McMahon Mather Meredith Ross Sierakowski Warren Wright Best Casey Scorpions Pedersen Panozza Strauss Barry Tynan Macdonald Werribee Tigers Maric Daw Clouston McMahon Sodomaco Ross
  10. He's playing but not at his best. The Werribee lead now out to 50 points.
  11. Goal to Luke Hill - his second & its a 40 point margin.
  12. Addam Maric kicks his fourth. Scorps struggling with only one on the bench.
  13. Luke Tynan returns the favour and turns the ball over for a Werribee goal.
  14. Hogan kicks his third after a Werribee turnover.
  15. Couch runs off with an injury just before the 3/4 time siren joining Davis, Rodan and Sellar on the injured list from this game. Werribee Tigers 13.6.84 lead Casey Scorpions 6.9.45 Hogan 2 Barry Hill Rodan Tapscott
  16. Hogan gets his second but the Scorps still a long way behind.
  17. It just gets worse as the Scorps can't get a touch. Ten goals down and can't score even with the wind.
  18. Tapscott misses for the Scorpions who are going nowhere.
  19. Half Time Werribee Tigers 12.5.77 to Casey Scorpions 4.5.29. Goals Barry Hill Hogan Rodan I would suggest that there are not any players putting their hands up for selection with Melbourne next week.
  20. Goal to Werribee, their 9th for the quarter! Lead back to 41 points.
  21. Werribee 10.4.64 to Casey 4.5.29 after a goal to Dom Barry breaking a run of 10 goals in a row.
