  3. Box Hill 3.5.23 lead Casey 3.2.20 at quarter time.

  8. Casey has a tough task ahead of it this Saturday when it travels to Box Hill in the battle for second place and a home final. A loss could see the Scorps finishing fourth and having to play an away final against Geelong. Key injuries, player eligibility and the retirement of Joel Macdonald have left Casey undermanned going into finals
  9. On the subject of qualifying for the finals, by my reckoning there's a fair contingent of players already eligible if six games is the required number to qualify. There are another five who have played five games to date for Casey so it will be interesting to see where the following players are selected next week:- Jack Fitzpatrick, Jordie McKenzie, Cam Pedersen, Luke Tapscott and Jimmy Toumpas.
  10. The Development League game was there to be won with Casey kicking with the aid of the wind in the last quarter. They scored 1.6.12 to 2.0.12 and lost by 5 points. 11. Goal on the siren to Mitch Gent and its all over - a 10 goal final quarter. Pity the crowd here is so small because he deserves to be applauded by more than the handful who turned up to watch today.
  12. Best (also his fifth) scores and the lead is out to 123. That makes it a 9 goal quarter matching Casey's 9 in the final term last week at Frankston.
  13. Rory Taggert scores another (his fifth) to put himself in contention for an AFL debut next week.
  14. Page from a free and a 50 metre penalty puts Casey 105 in front and Joel Macdonald marks to make it 111.
  15. Taggert gets Casey over the 100 point mark with another goal.
  16. Jimmy's putting on a classy display today. Gets the ball often and delivers it well. Make no mistake, he's all class. Joel Macdonald who has had a good game goals from an angle. Casey by 79 points.
  17. Three Quarter Time: Casey 13.6.84 to Bendigo 2.7.19 James Magner is having a great game picking up countless possessions despite hurting himself during that quarter. He may have been slightly winded because he's back on the ground.
  18. Courageous mark to Max Gawn who passes it to Taggert who kicks a nice goal from an angle.
  19. Best scores his third after receiving a pass from Rodan who had a long run down the ground. The lead is up to 59 points.
  20. Gawn is going through a purple patch. This time he marks and goals to put his team in front by 52 points.
  21. Max Gawn accepts a pass and runs into an open goal for a major. Casey Scorpions 10.4.64 to Bendigo 2.6.18.
