  2. EIshold was never a regular to the same extent but was a better play and Dunn as a defender (the role he played when he was a regular) is a much much better player. Byrne and Seddon pre-date the time period in question but Byrne was top 10 in a Brownlow and Seddon never played more than 16 games in a year.
  3. He just needed to take possession of Frost kick against Geelong as well! Enough is enough!
  4. Ive watched every game for 30 years and he is the worst MFC player to play every game in a season i can recall
  5. 6. James Harmes 5. Angus Brayshaw 4. Dom Tyson 3. Clayton Oliver 2. Christian Salem 1. Tom McDonald
  6. I agree100%. Should say that credit is due for his work ethic and love of the jumper! But that is not enough. he is the worst player ive seen play for Melbourne to play the percentage volume of games he does and today he reprised his north melbourne role of last year - by destroying countless gilt edged scoring opportunities. Only plays decently when we are absolutely dominant and most of it ia fluke IMO

  9. He tackled strongly and he was quite neat with the ball at times and quick to release. Had some poor moments but worth another chance. Probably playing in a position not suited to him as well (wing).
  10. He was tagging the standard of the game and it worked. But unlikely he was shutting down a specific opponent. He started on the bench and in the first 15 minutes he can be seen chasing after Sheridan, Hamling, Ryan and Wilson at various points.
  11. 6. Jack Viney 5. Clayton Oliver 4. Max Gawn 3. Angus Brayshaw 2. Christian Petracca 1. Christian Salem.
  12. Im calling for ANB's head. Does absolutely nothing in tightly contested matches, aside from running around creating packs. Has great effort and tries hard and clearly loves playing for Melbourne which is great, but an incredibly limited and over-rated footballer, who the opposition would be putting no time into.
  13. 6. T.McDonald 5. C.Oliver 4. J.Viney 3. N.Jetta 2. J.Lewis 1. J.Smith
  14. Neville Jetta with the greatest MFC back pocket performance since Alan Johnson’s 1988 elimination final masterpiece!
  15. 6. Max Gawn 5. Christian Petracca 4. Clayton OIiver 3. Nathan Jones 2. Jesse Hogan 1. Bernie Vince
  16. here is a good link for it mate - https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/11/22/surprise-omissions-headline-melbournes-starting-18/
  17. Not sure how it can be utter crap. Gawn and Jetta have become very good players in the last couple of years. Not saying Barry was a good recruiter or his record is good. But some of his picks are now becoming very good ones.
  18. Barry's record improves over time with the impacts of Gawn, Jetta, T.Mac, Howe et cetera. Scully became Hogan, Gysberts Pedersen
  19. Craig Cameron definitely had nothing to do with Farmer and Leoncelli coming to the club
  20. Is statistically one of his lesser years and had Colin Garland not missed a game through injury he would have won the best and fairest in one of the worst editions of the award in the club history. Wouldn't be in the top 100 individual seasons.
  21. Waste of time discussing them as it would be terrible list management to lose pick 45 or whatever it is now at the expense of a DFA, given it could have been used to draft order jump. Would also in effect greatly diminish the value of the pick received for Jack Watts if his list spot is taken up by a free player rather than used on a third round draft pick. if you have anyu faith in the football department being a cohesive, well planned instrument of the club, there will not be a free agent added!
  22. B: Alan Johnson, Sean Wight, Paul Prymke HB: Brett Lovett, David Neitz, Gary Hardeman C: Stan Alves, Greg Wells, Robbie Flower HF: Garry Lyon, David Schwarz, Adem Yze F: Jeffrey Farmer, Allen Jakovich, Gerard Healy FOLL: Jim Stynes, Todd, Viney, Jack Viney I/C: Jeff White, Stephen Tingay, Glenn Lovett, Steven Febey EM: Andrew Obst, Nathan Jones, Shane Woewodin.
  23. Any team with Jim Stynes and Garry Lyon on the bench is unfortunately well wide of the mark. Peter Moore and Strawbs not fit to tie Jimmy's shoelaces.
  24. Not sure there is much sense to that post. King was always going to get another year having shown some promise and only being one year removed from a knee reco. Filipovic is irrelevant because he is on the rookie list and not taking up a list spot relevant to the Garland situation. With Spencer being delisted, surely they will be able to play King and Filipovic in the same side anyway.
