Roos the dream, Williams more likely the reality.
Agree. Williams is some chance I would say.
What do people think about him?

Not meaning to sound ageist (I'm not far behind them), but Pagan and Sheedy were both born in 1947 and are probably past their use by date as serious coaching contenders (exemplified by Sheedy's work at GWS). Methinks the game has probably left them behind and if we are going to chase a new coach, it needs to be someone who is currently involved at the top level (other than Sheeds who I doubt is really involved anyway).
Besides he doesn't even work in footy anymore, he's in real estate!

Thanks, good for a chuckle!

good luck jonesy! he'll be extra fired up for sure.
stinga, did you see the player from your avatar on the Robbo show this week? he's looking pretty good for 43!
-
He is as skinny as anything! (so like Jack Watts)
Who wants to start a funny caption contest with that photo!?

"Unprecedented"?
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-02-22/no-game-but-new-deal-for-jimmy
Haha good point.
Yeh I read adelaidenow.com as it's basically the herald-sun without the payroll but it does mean that there are stacks of adelaide and port articles that go into ridiculous hyperbole.
Maybe using Jimmy T's contract as a comparison is a bit sensitive (!) on this site at the moment due to the impatient fans getting paranoid that Oli's off to a better start.

Oh well Ollie, see you in two years.
Sorry to depress everyone but...
"PORT Adelaide is poised to offer rookie sensation Ollie Wines an early mega-contract extension to tie him to the club until at least 2016. In an unprecedented club move for a player six games into his career, the Power has been so impressed by the strong-bodied Wines' early impact that it is already prepared to commit to him long term." -
Maybe fitness is an even bigger factor then it used to be.... also, there's less flooding now so teams can run over the top of other teams and kick more goals in a hurry
(e.g dees vs gws last quarter)
-
Yes you did KC, giants by 21 at half time
everyone's expecting the bombers to overrun them in the last quarter like we did.
but if they don't it would be absolutely massive!

Nicholson is the bane of my MFC supporting existence.
but he runs fast

I bet most opposition supporters wouldn't recognise half the names in our side. Maybe that's a good thing, means we're trying something different!

Thanks for the link, never heard of The Flack but needed a new satirical sports site to replace the daily maggot.
I liked this story about the geelong prank..

Did you guys miss that Neeld said Watts had been sick? Maybe he's better now... I don't know, it may seem crazy, but it could just be that rather than some Brighton conspiracy...
Yeh but he didn't miss last week's game because he was sick, he missed because he was dropped
-
Well, the same thing did happen to Brad Scott today, swans 11.4 to kanga 1.3 in the third quarter
In reality if any coach is ever in charge of a side that is outscored 11 goals to 1 in a quarter he needs to go.

"ANY AFL move to give Melbourne a priority draft pick to help the Demons escape their seemingly endless on-field struggles will be strongly opposed by rival clubs.
A number of club CEOs, football managers and list managers told AFL.com.au this week Melbourne did not deserve any additional draft concessions, saying its current on-field problems were largely of its own making."http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-04-11/rival-clubs-opposed-to-possible-demon-priority-pick

Dank has a shiny face. Probably injects himself for the fun of it.

No way.. when was the last time an out-of-form footballer walked away mid year?
(apart from retirements, which are different)

Fat Tony was spot-on in his original post though.
If only...

Jamar is done. Absolutely useless
Couldn't agree more: hopeless in the centre, spilt an easy mark and gave away a free in the goal square
-
Totally agree. I reckon I saw Dan Nicholson pull out of every contest and was scared all day. I couldn't believe this was the same guy they were saying was quick in preseason, he was slow, soft and scared.
Nicho is a fast runner on the track but has little awareness on the field...

Good luck Liam

Found an article that mentioned another Hawks international rookie, they actually have 3 on their books at the moment.
Although that includes 1 at 186cm and 99kg and another at 197cm and 105kg... meanwhile our rookie is a 75kg one!
