How is "Multicultural" defined? i.e Family history goes back 5 generations in Australia including Irish/English/Welsh so does that count?
Multicultural participants must either have been born overseas, or has one parent who was born overseas.
Which is stupid because it means if you or one of your parents were born in England than you qualify. I would have thought you also need to have grown up speaking another language. So if you grew up in England (or India.. or Frankston... ) speaking Hindi than you should qualify but if your main language was English than bad luck.

Clearly not rated highly. Was given away for an upgrade of a future 4th round pick to future 3rd round pick. Massive bust for a 19 year old first round pick!
The future 4th being the one ties to us that's bounced around like a hot potato.
Was a pick 11 so just shows you can't get your hopes up too much with first round picks..

Frost for Bruce sounds close to the mark.
My first thought was no way (Bruce more valuable than Frost) but then I checked this year's B & F results - they both finished 9th!

You finish top 4 say two years in a row there need to be some handicapping to even the playing field.
Just bring in a rule that free agents can't go to top 4 clubs in the year they want to move.

Nice spotting! Bit of a giveaway I'd say.
Maybe he can sell it to Daniher?

Short Tomlinson update from the Herald Sun:
MELBOURNE are likely to secure GWS free agent Adam Tomlinson on Saturday after the Giants best-and-fairest award.
He will join the club on a four-year deal worth around $500,000 a season
Average wage was 362k a year (2018 stats) so that figure will probably be about 400k next year. I think that's ok. He's worth just slightly more than the average player.

Why do some have a list as long as an arm and the Cats and ourselves only have one listed Dazzle?
Because some zones are better than others. It's definitely not a level playing field.
West Coast have 16 players, we have 1, so statistically they have 16 more chances to find a gem through this process.

Aussie wonnaemiri.
If we can wait until next year (we can't) we have Deakyn Smith on our academy list for next year.
Or Kobe Farmer but he's probably freo bound

Wagners are not AFL standard. Hopefully they are on minimum (or close to minimum) coin.

Does anyone secretly want tomlinson to miss out on a flag so he comes to Melbourne with more of a burning desire to win one?

Which poor bugger will get dropped for Toby?
Greene in for Ian Hill.
Whitfield in for Keefe.
Would they risk coniglio coming in after a couple months off? Pretty hard to drop someone else for him too.

Hogan, May and KK have certainly kept the doctors busy

This doesn't bode well, I'm anticipating a big name such as a Petracca or a Brayshaw to be requesting a trade
Already have a bad sense about Hunt as well
Yeah but if a journo like damo knew someone like petracca wanted out he would report it to get the glory rather than his cryptic comments on afl.com today.

This is not just about Langdon, but can any contract be signed and any trade be formally announced prior to the official trade period, even if the clubs and players involved agree?
Nope. It'd just be a verbal agreement at this stage. Contracts technically run until end of October I think.

Sell high, buy low.
Apart from Petracca's being a core part of the club that I'd hate to see go, he also hasn't reached his peak so we wouldn't be getting full value for him. He's clearly on his way up, with his most consistent year to date.

May I also add that a bulldogs win will see the end of Hawthorn. So there is something good to come out of this year.
I'd be physically sick if Hawthorn get in the 8. Is it too much to ask that they have a few years down the bottom!

His brother took a while before he became a star, 4 years I think. So need to be patient.

Lol, Crows and Port both on exactly 103% and Crows get 8th at the moment because....anyone know? Head to head is 1-1 with Port having the greater winning margin between the 2.
Adelaide are 102.98
Port are 102.97

Say what you like about his afl capabilities but 75 hit outs by the big man preussy is not a bad effort.

We don't have much depth but got away with it last year; this year not so much.
The good clubs seem to have a conveyor belt of good players able to come in.

Pick 2 in the Preseason Draft
in Melbourne Demons
Posted
No one uses it anymore, it was going out of vogue and that was even before they introduced pre and mid season supplementary drafts, delisted free agency etc. Pick 1 or 2 is no longer a bonus (especially when melb doesn't take a ruthless approach to Martin)
