Brayshaw pretty much confirmed this in his interview this morning. Key takeaways for me were, Team needs to buy into their roles for longer and hard to be ultra competitive for 25 weeks. Take from that what you will but I am hoping the boys are preparing to go another level later in the year when it counts. But to the point of the story, I think teams have made it harder for us. And this is due to evolution of the game and afl house wanting fast ball movement. Injury plays a part as well. We will see what happens, good test for the team to work through the issues.

To be fair to @old55 the team has been doing that all year. Bailey is a prime candidate for burning team mates. But there have been multiple other examples all year.

Just to be clear, i am commenting from the cheap seats, i do not know what the culture inside the 4 walls is. But you'd be remiss to think that there have not signs of some cultural issues appearing on field. Statistically we have completely dropped off in some offensive and defensive numbers. I do not know if this is because of changes in the game or cultural or what, but it is there and is worthy of discussion.

Regardless of LJs contract status surely we are mature as a team and get the maximum out of him this year. Thats what i would expect from my leaders. After the season ends go hard and maximize the value but until then he is still one of us. The kid is a 20 yo unicorn, we should get a decent return in trade value.

This may be controversial as there is all the hate for LJ now, but i think that is poor leadership if true. We should be about winning games of footy, not being petty and selfish. I know a few time it has happened this year, and not just JV and LJ, but it shows that there is a cultural issue happening. As i mentioned before our leaders are really gong to be be tested here to get the season back on track

Yes agree, it has been pretty evident for a few weeks now. The buy in to the team seems to be lacking this year, you can see it in defense in big moments and you can see it offensively. This is a really big test for Goody, Max and Jack, to make sure there is 100% buy in for this season and moving forwards

Interestingly it is all about aexy football at the moment. Offense is clearly beating up on defences at the moment. Afl will be happy

At this stage of the season i think it is more likely that the ball movement is a lot faster and we are unable to keep up.

Let them have their moment, lets see what happens in 5 weeks time when the real season starts.

Yeh that was an absolute joke, i am not sure whats was better, that or the bump ball that was paid a mark. I readily accept errors get made in games, but consistent one officiating is hard to swallow.
