  1. Well Dennis has starred in quite a few... So maybe Joe ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜†
  2. You know I really miss the ๐Ÿค” emoji . The whole point of ๐Ÿค”for mine was to express that the post was thoughtful and/or thought provoking . As is yours ... cheers
  3. Well played LG Problem is.... he's had time allowed to do this already.....and where are we ? Well where we ARE is still having to do all that because good ol Monis is really causing us a Minus ;)
  4. Keep going...... You've not walked this road far enough ;)
  5. The question I'm intrigued by.. Take our list..... then imagine any or all of the other coaches were to take the helm. What would our team sheet look like... how would we play ?? If you think there'd be no difference... well, you'd be kidding yourselves. That's a reality. Now you have mentally travelled down that road... what do we think ? ๐Ÿค”
  6. Some might suggest having a home IS core business ๐Ÿค” ;)
  7. Think you'll find the Dragons are in a dyed in the wool Labor electorate. Caulfield..... not so much
  8. Tbh I've never quite figured this guy out ,as a player. If he were an actor I would describe him as quite talented, has shown his craft in a handful of 'roles' but for the most part just pops up in cameos . His Oscar came in the big dance of 21 but since then has seemingly shunned the limelight and performs increasingly enigmatically. I seriously wonder at times if his true passion is actually football . Happily trade him.
  9. By ???
  10. I hear what ya saying 58. I will offer a caveat on ODs behalf . I know for a fact he has watched many a Magoo Match. I'd be very surprised if he was writing anyone off without considerable thought. JVR looks like he belongs out there....but he's still raw. I too am not convinced Jeffo is going to develop a lot further. But as you rightly suggest... he's young. I'm not.... I can remember when Neeta first came on the scene, Ox too. They showed something special. Jeffo.. ๐Ÿ˜’ ๐Ÿค” Obviously time will tell
  11. Thankyou for highlighting one of the most absurd characteristics of our 'system' Truly beggars belief
  12. Ironically Goodwin has also always been about the "process" .. trust in the process. I actually agree with that as it goes. Sort of ( kinda ) mirrors Saban. We've obviously just got the wrong process ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. Yes are firey Demons we most definitely BURN a lot of players.
  14. I actually find the notion of destabilising this team desirable. Needs one he'll of a shake up.
  15. I might suggest any Marvel Hoodoo is an Urban Myth. It's as invented as the backstory to the villain of a Scooby Doo episide
  16. Just thought folk should watch this again. You could feel his frustration ๐Ÿซค Don't we all
  17. I fully understand the arguments that suggest little can/may change . These are often supported by any number of studies and statistics. But I often wonder upon what suppositions and criteria. I would concur with those outcomes being demonstrably similar ( I.e. little substantive change ) if all that has transpired is but a like for like,or like for similar change in management/coaching/leadership. There is without doubt a logic to that. I reminded though of Chess. Here we have a battle royale that epitomises how things can change dramatically dependant upon design and implementation. Both combatants have EXACTLY the same teams combined of only 6 different types of players in differing numbers ( but same to both ) The field is defined, the abilities of the field players is understood. But outcomes are going to vary considerably upon the direction of the competing adversaries. As the late great JSM would ponder, why is this so ?? It comes down to understanding how nuanced moves can differ from one advocate to another. It's often the smaller minor things that have a butterfly effect. A better understanding of causality. Tactics and Strategy are the key. The players haven't changed. What they can/can't do remains the same. Only direction therefore can be the attributive difference. We play chess very poorly at Melbourne. Is there indeed a more predictable team ? If we can't wholesale change the list , then what ? It's not too hard to think of 'what' Good luck Dees. 2 games in and already fairly and squarely looking down the barrel.
  18. Again... its A view .. how you come by it is all but irrelevant in so much as it's ONE view. There are others.. Lots of highly regarded folk once thought odd things about the solar system. The evidence is plainly before us. We're going backwards.
  19. That's one view.... Another.. Same ingredients... possibly a variation on a recipe.... different chef can result in a very different meal. The point being you can't just assume that a different coach will utilise his assets in essentially the same manner. Logic suggests the opposite. Goodwin hit his peak in 21... Been all downhill since..... just how far down the mountain do you want to slide ? There is absolutely no consistency about Melbourne at present.
  20. The long and the short... Alastair knows what he's doing Simon got lucky. The luck was short lived.
  21. Just a curiosity.. How long before the AFL media jackals set their sights on dear Simon ? Possibly Essendon and Carlton are providing a screen ...
  22. To paraphrase Kennedy Don't try..... Do It's about results... always.
  23. With all due... How does your rant answer the query ? You DO understand footy.... quite well. So why , in your estimation , is Chaplin still a fwd coach. Observationally...he ain't that good Cheers
  24. If Goody had half a brain he should have just shut up re Max. If.....
  25. Stop It... stop It..... too much sense .
