POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
You're correct. You don't know. Neither do I. I did however observe he was absolutely f'd at QTR time. Thanks Max...but..... Preuss held his own. Logic.. something lacking at Melbourne apparently... would suggest easing Max's load with our only other a grade ruck. Unfit..a no no ? ..oh Hello Jones..Hello Viney..hello Tmac ! A shout out to Trac also...sack of spuds FFS. We still aren't a smart club. Much pain ahead of this anything to gauge by.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
But will they. Given known issues with certain players Given the condition of any players recovering from a procedural hospital stay ( including a general ) Given relative match fitness of some Given matchups known or ( intelligently ) presumed Given form going into the game you might have thought a better team sheet ..you might !! I wonder what they'll f up going into Kittyland.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Seriously...I'm a fossil but understand it. I'll translate for you. Even if things go adversely, if they go counter to hopeful expectations then that good chap Mr Lyon will stand by his fine recruit...irregardless

Target 70,000
We'd cruise past 70 I'm not against the notion 58 I just have my understanding of what it would require. We have a little momentum at present. If that falters 70...60...hell 50... becomes a pipe dream. Make at least the prelims this year. 50-55 possible in 2020 Money is hard come by . Too many pressing requirements grabbing it. The diehards are already members. It's the fence sitters who'll be the increase. They have real life demands.

The History of 0 and 2
This IS the crux. No team can afford slow starts now.

Gawn Hospitalised Days Prior to Round 1
Gawn should not have played. Preuss should have. Are we now this arrogant and stupid as a club ?

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Lol. Ah Melbourne, just when you think we've turned a corner.. . it's smack bang into a brick wall. So it appears Gawn was in hospital for some treatment last week. Some 'skin" thing but who really knows...club full of [censored] So we go in with at least two UNFIT, two suspect with feet problems, only ONE ruck...(recovering ) and too many who can't hit the side of a barn from 30 !! Such a clever team ?

Target 70,000
70000 is exactly that, a dream. It would be fantastic. It would put us right up there but unlike the power clubs that practically start the year with enormous numbers and then build, we have had what is now an institutionalised smallish membership. To dramatically change that, to break the crippling chains and create inertia there is only one, I repeat ONE recipe. Sustained success. This needs a very steady climb with no faltering. Irrespective of what many here feel is deserved , in terms of numbers growth, it isn't. We don't deserve increases as such, you earn it. We haven't really earned anything yet.
