Verrell to Laurie goal. But I want to talk about how Fullerton has changed the look around the ball. He’s not a contested mark beast, but his follow up work has been great.
yep
i'm more and more thinking...
OUT: may, lever
IN: Fullarton, Woewodinpetty and salem stay down back, hore comes in to starting 22, fullarton becomes forward / ruck relief, and probably woey 2.0 is the sub
tholstrup the pick of our next tier mid types, but i reckon he comes in to give windsor a rest for the 5 day break

Pick 13 for Tholstrup still remains a question mark for me. Does not seem to be impacting at this level at all
i'll go hard counter
tough in the clinches, does the little things already (shepherds, blocks, etc.), and puts his head over the ball
heaps to like
currently has 14 disposals (equal 2nd for casey) on a 50:50 split, 5 tackles, 3 marks, and 3 clearances

tholstrup is just about ready for afl - he'll learn more in the top tier competition than he will slogging it out for casey

tomlinson is, i'm sorry to say, no good under the high ball
for such a big lug he gets out-bodied too easily
-
woey 2.0 really can't hit a target by foot

Both he and Adams are a serious concern at this stage - really should be showing more
both competing under the high ball but skills and second efforts a let down
jefferson reads it well in the air but is so skinny

Is Jefferson playing?
defense
a couple of marks, a couple of turnovers, and no second efforts
-
tholstrup should've kicked the goal

tholstrup shows why he's a first round pick with his work around stoppages
looks a natural

Surely we rest Tomlinson for this game (or at least a half) to make sure we've got him fully fit for the AFL next week?
don't think so
mostly cos i query where tomlinson will be picked
back 6 vs pear: mcdonald, petty, howes, hore, salem, rivers
-
so no majority for the libs
very curious where it goes from here

sorry @george_on_the_outer, but sicily their best?
might've topped their stats playing kick-to-kick across the back flank but was completely out-pointed, out-marked, out-performed by his direct oppo who was our #2 bog and booted 5 goals 1

That second quarter was Hawthorn giving everything they had to shut the contest down, after realizing their only option was to keep the margin of their loss to a minimum.
But playing all out defense is never sustainable against a side that is smashing you in contested possessions and clearances and when you don’t have the forwardline nor the disposal skills to punish the opposition on turnover. They’d be very disappointed that they managed only one goal with May and Lever both off the ground.
They are hot garbage and it gives me great pleasure to watch them get destroyed.
yep
i'm not convinced the game style mitchell wants them to play can be effectively executed by the players at his disposal
-
i suspect tomlinson won't be coming in

one of the best defensive displays i've seen us execute
the way we held up their ball movement and punished them on turnover
second quarter was ugly, compounded by may's injury, but we were dominant otherwise
professional win

based on the first three quarters he's not going to see much of it down there
