Petracca on sen re his knee injury against the tigers: "i actually thought I did my acl...the scans came back negative, thank god it was just bone bruising" that's some neo level bullet dodging right there.

I said that's right, BETTER than Wrecker!

God I am so sick of carltank flogs like Stephen Trigg and Mark Maclure waxing rhapsodic about how young they are and how inexperienced etc. Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Kreuzer, Jones, Rowe, Palmer, Ed Curnow, Daisy, Levi, Alex Silvagni - all on their downward trend. Yes, the likes of Cripps and Weitering and to a lesser extent Marchbank and Plowman are very encouraging but to hear the two Carlton apologists bang on about how McKay - who is yet to debut - is "like Daniher" does my head in!

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 6
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
like everyone very surprised to see stretch out. presume this is about managing the short break and he'll be back for hawthorn. harmes is neither here nor there for me, and the other three we know about. can't believe melksham survives again. -
Throw, throw, throw, handball, throw, throw...

One of my absolute favourite players. A better small defender than anyone else at our club since Alan Johnson. Yep, better than Wrecker!

Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019
whatwhat say what replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
he's a 21 year old in his third season of football who has played the key forward role since his debut game. anyone writing him off is not just insane, they're fundamentally flawed as a football follower. -
won both of em last year old dee. sadly will have to settle for 1-1 in 2017.

queen's birthday public holiday does not 'celebrate' the the actual birthday of the monarch, but, after george v died, it was left as the second monday in june. fwiw, qe2's actual birthday was last week. it's all moot anyway. vive la republique! and why can't we have both? the more 'event games' the mfc is involved with...the better!

plus they brought in vardy as well as petrie and already had giles on their list - however, they knew that nic nat was unlikely to play all year as he recovers from his acl and i seem to remember lycett was crocked at the end of 2016 as well our biggest list management issue is that we're still carrying players who are / were, in all likelihood, unlikely to play senior games in 2017

i think to think it's a 'learning experience' @Melb16 - the team is learning to play first and foremost and they're trying hard to be 'busy' and thus over-possessing the ball regularly. it's very hard to watch.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 5

6 - watts 5 - hibberd 4 - oliver 3 - hunt 2 - jetta 1 - frost -
OUT: spencer, smith, petracca, melksham IN: pedersen, lewis, o mac, bugg basically i expect the first three to be out injured, and melksham has got to be dropped after another tackle-free performance...tyson next out the door, and i expect jkh to miraculously survive bugg deserves to be rewarded and tyson has got to be very close to being omitted, and there's no way we can throw a 19 / 20 year old who has played once since doing his acl into senior football so pedersen gets a go by default - i personally think he's a terrible ruckman and better as a forward, and watts is a better ruckman...but watts so important to our forward line structure that we can't not have him there at least 50% of the time and because pedersen CAN relieve ruck he WILL relieve ruck we looking very small, but bombers actually play relatively similar forward line to us with daniher, hooker, fantasia and then a whole lotta smalls rotating in / out, so o mac might get a guernsey...but honestly who knows when melksham keeps holding his spot week in week out B: Jetta - T Mac - O Mac HB: Hunt - Frost - Hibberd C: Salem - Jones - Vince HF: ANB - Hogan - Stretch F: Pedersen - Garlett - JKH Foll: Watts - Oliver - Viney I/C: Lewis - Tyson - Bugg - Harmes Emerg: Trengove - Hannan - Kennedy

none of our mids can kick the ball, or want to kick the ball: oliver - 8 kicks, 24 handballs jones - 7 kicks, 18 handballs tyson - 9 kicks, 16 handballs viney - 7 kicks, 16 handballs anb - 10 kicks, 11 handballs stretch - 9 kicks, 10 handballs in wet weather football. disgraceful!

We're dominant everywhere but the scoreboard. I wish we'd stop wasting opportunities.

Casey Demons v North Ballarat
whatwhat say what replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
this is the biggest issue i think in terms of his reinvigorating his career at melbourne - jones, viney, oliver, tyson, lewis are all clearly ahead of him in terms of inside ball users, and so too in terms of rotations are the likes of vince, salem and petracca form half-back / half-forward coming into the number of players around the ball. he can't play 'outside' like others as he's awfully slow, and his disposal is just not 'clean' enough. it's a really sad situation - it's amazing he's managed to get back at all considering his foot injury. -
shuey or gaff would look so good in the red and blue

Jack Steven reminds me so much of a slighter quicker Nathan Jones.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
whatwhat say what replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
yes, ballenden, that's the one. said he think he's the best prospect at this stage and wouldn't be surprised if whoever holds #1 bids on him first up.
