  1. if it's a choice between schache on a minimum contract and lobb on a healthy one, it's schache they're both vfl players
  2. this is probably the (off-)season to get him, as a pre-agent
  3. i don't think the top 40 pick exclusion applies to father-son, only academy
  4. us filth? bears?* pear crom puddy tatts? flagmantle? gc17 bloods *if greene and hogan are both out for gw$ anzac day, anzac night, and saturday twilight should all be cracking games footscray tend to travel to perf quite well too, so can definitely see them getting up there too
  5. i think the coaches have been pretty clear that the players returning from injury get just as much from training and going straight into the afl side as they do getting their 'sea legs' in the vfl i presume they clearly rate turner and want him in the side as quickly as possible to get up to 'afl speed' OUT: salem, tholstrup, b brown IN: laurie, pickett, turner B: McVee - May - Lever HB: Rivers - McDonald - Howes C: Langdon - Petracca - Windsor HF: Neal-Bullen - Petty - Billings F: van Rooyen - Fritsch - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Sparrow - Chandler - Woewodin - Turner Sub: Laurie interesting split of experience vs youth... 150+ games: may, mcdonald, gawn, viney, petracca, oliver, lever, langdon, billings, neal-bullen 50-149: fritsch, pickett, rivers, sparrow, petty 25-49: chandler, mcvee, van rooyen under 10: woewodin, howes, laurie, windsor, turner
  6. i guess that's why yr not on match committee
  7. wouldn't want to go anywhere near rory lobb
  8. joe daniher drives 2+ hours to go from byron bay, where he lives, to brisvegas
  9. fullarton is a senior list player, not a cat b rookie i thought?
  10. four ovals plan remains the key for us two at caulfield, two at casey
  11. be handy to run a poll and see if demonlanders think greene (and / or hogan) will get off i suspect greene will and hogan won't
  12. it's not about 4 and 23 - which is likely to become something more like 7 and 30 - it's about how do you replace a player of his ilk - a 25 year old tall who can hold down a key role forward or back, and be part of a premiership-winning defensive set-up easier said than done
  13. we'd need to replace a 25 year old key forward / premiership winning back with something of a similar ilk that's why crom are offering petty a small fortune; his like don't exactly grow on trees i remain hopeful that he'll be offered commensurate with his importance to the side beyond 2025 and will stay with us; we need him to do so
  14. the week just won't be the same
  15. pick 4 and 23 provides zero value for us compared to a swingman 25 year old premiership player we are in 'win now' mode and taking a player like petty out of our best 23 does NOT help us do so
  16. presuming you mean jarman?
  17. sydney seem able to maintain distance of a 2-4 goals
  18. why? i'm sure no hatred a 4 year contract for a 30 year old couldn't assuage not really! i feel like we're a 1-6 side personally
  19. elliott yeo ooc at the end of this year too...
  20. i expect we'll suffer from fatigue against the baggers on a thursday nite... - 13 days til Richmond - then 10 til cats - then 5 til baggers - then 10 til meth coke having a 5 day gap between geelong and carlton match-ups is particularly strange imo
  21. i'm in two minds about going to filth vs pear as an afl member neutral as well - might hit you up @Bring-Back-Powell and @danielE288 if i end up doing so
  22. that's because it's used for the easter show hence why they have home games in canberra during this time
  23. it's incredibly costly from all reports we might be better off than we were a decade ago, but we don't have the cash nor support staff to spend in the likes of these areas
  24. they're just prepping em for the inevitable request to be traded to geelong
  25. clark to geelong lumumba to melbourne varcoe to filth
