  1. I’ll say what I said last week Home and away games are about positioning yourself for September We are going okay
  2. goodwin does things out of the box all the time
  3. no, suns don't have the top 40 pick cap like other academies hence why they were able to pick up four in the top 20 last year
  4. kalani is mad melbourne and has been integrated into our culture over a long period of time as jeff himself said in the interview, kalani has only been involved in the suns' academy for 12-18 months the bigger q is around what changes are made to academy / father-son bidding processes and how that effects everyone going forward it was interesting jeff said that the '07 crop' is even stronger than last year's draft haul that gc17 was able to claim, which means that it might be harder for gc17 to 'claim' all those locals that are part of the talent pathway kalani is coming to the dees imo and it sounds like he's developing really nicely as a talent
  5. This TCB time
  6. us? puddy tatts bloods? aints gw$? footscray? gc17? filth crom? i reckon flagmantle can knock off sydney and norf to surprise gc17 in a slipper game in darwin, but i'm not brave enough to tip either
  7. true, but that wouldn't be consistent with us taking disco a few years back - we didn't REALLY need a tall defender, but there he is a couple of years later...in our forward line...
  8. isn't the maxim 'you draft for talent and you trade for role'?
  9. i for one would listen to a daily two hour podcast you can analyse other clubs, i wouldn't even mind
  10. i think this will be a big one over 70k baggers are up for it
  11. martin and 'brackets' mcgovern are big ins for them i am like others and suspect it's bowey into the 22, woey 2.0 to sub, and laurie out
  12. Anyone available is unlikely to be in our best 26 I know we have a list spot available, but it’ll be interesting to see what direction we go in
  13. i think you'll find that is the bunnings ring, btyb coles
  14. great news if rucci says he's told the crom he's no longer interested in going there, now we just need to stop any interest from the pear, and sign up petty for beyond 2025
  15. Gotta query why the afl would fixture cats on a Saturday nite oh wait the answer is obvious; they’re idjits
  16. i think he was 'sore' but they made the call on him quickly in order to get rohan on field sooner rather than later
  17. scott said they withdrew bruhn because they wanted to inject rohan into the game earlier for his speed and ability to carry the ball etc.
  18. nope the club was effusive in the praise for our fans turning up felt like we had about 40k of the 52k there i thought the passionate dees were loud
  19. no, it's not - because stanley won the tap it's unfortunate that gawn got the knee to the back of the noggin, but the simple fact of the matter is as stanley won the tap it was play on and if he'd missed the ball it'd be a free to gawn it's crazy how difficult the game of footy is to umpire
  20. In 2a, I was thinking 55k Markedly in our favour; understandably hard for cats’ fans to head up the highway on a Saturday evening
  21. Adams will be part of the men’s department; with Turner having gone ‘upstairs’ as a forward, Adams will develop into another interception player Moniz-Wakefield is a half back rebounder - I worry about his usage but he’s getting to the correct spots and impacting with ball use Jefferson was a markedly different player without Schache and Brown down there as tall targets; add 10kg of muscle and he’s going to be a player
  22. what the bloods are doing is getting themselves into a position where they'll play at the scg twice in september they're going be there or thereabouts at the pointy end, you would expect
  23. screen cap for the gods
  24. i'm sure there's a reason he's 'guarding space' there presumably to defend the short turnaround hit up lead to the boundary if he wasn't, plus with his speed he can protect the slight inbound as well i trust rivers' positioning and the management of it by the footy dept
