I’ve been saying for ages that this is worse than the Neeld says, said it half a season ago. In the Neeld says we had pretty much no good players. We have a lot of decent players in this team and. We are not much better off, in fact I rate this worse. Neeld teams had nigh on zero skills. This team should be much much better. That they’re not is a disgrace.

I’m not ready to give up on Viney, but I think he will need to play a tagging hff role from time to time, Brayshaw is better in the mid than Viney and should have more time as an inside mid which prob pushes Viney out abit.

Brees and Thomas will mean that NO will be a threat. Panthers and Buccs are interesting either could be good or bad. Injuries over the next 4 weeks will be crucial. We just lost Lawler who is a loss at DE but the fact he gets slotted across that whole line means the loss of flexibility is what truly hurts.

So how is everyone feeling about their teams for this season. Havibg Kupp back for us is huge! Hurley training is a good sign and the fact Henderson is getting first team reps when Gurley isn’t training means he will be comfortable with this in front and around him come game day. Our D looks solid again with a more focussed run D on the cards. Still think we have an insanely hard draw but just gotta win our division. We may not win enough for a wildcard.

Carro’s opinion really means [censored] zero. If she had come out after 5-10 rounds and said it sure, but to wait til the season so pretty much done is a easy thing to do. I got banned once for giving my true opinion of her so let me just say, the only reason she prob commented on is this week is cos we played her tiggers. She is irrelevant, like hutch and Damo they care more for the scandal than the game.

If 260k is right, and I doubt it would be that low, I bet it has bonuses all over it. but 350k plus x for games played plus x for blah and x for blah etc etc

Any name we throw up is flawed. Viney came the closest to being a true leader but I think his leadership is more suited to minor leagues. No one stands out.

Wouldn’t give up heaps for him, he is hot and cold, but when in form is a decent player. At least you know what you are getting over picking an untried kid. but if we are chasing Langdon would we have the right pick to trade for him? I dare say pick 2 won’t be used on either and one would prob take our second round pick and even a top 20 pick is generous. Neither super excite me. They are both solid players.

Last few games with tmac and Weid, yes, Melksham played half the season, Hannan sure, AVB never plays and didn’t last year so no loss as he wasn’t there for the whole season pretty much. But for the first half the year we had a lot of our best players in and all play8ng skilless horrible football. Injuries are a factor but not even close to being THE factor of our shiteness for this year.

For those talking about injuries, missing games etc. Lets agree that yes, we have, especially in the back 6. But, our best have played. Oliver, Gawn, Tmac for most of the year. And going by last year, Harmes, Brayshaw, Salem who were also good. They have played most of the year. But let’s face facts, getting the ball, not much of a problem, skills, massive problem even from those who are our best users of the ball. Our problems have been this. We get it into f50 lots, we score very little, they get it into their f50 usually less and score much more. And they do so very very easily. Goal kicking, not a new thing, we have been poor for years. Desire to gut run defensively. We run in beautiful waves forward and jog backwards. Game plan, last year Goodwin had a great plan with the extra players off the back of the square. This year, no idea.

Nah I think I’ll be too occupied with other things including $2 pints and cheap cigars. [censored] football! Just focus on the trip. Enjoy the rest of the “season” once you leave ?
