Gary Lyon & Tim Watson on SEN hinted that HB was tracking better than was being reported. I suspect it was pure speculation on their part but interesting nonetheless.

You are probably right about the injuries, and I hope you are right but we’ll see.

Prior to last year JTaylor had done very well IMO. Last years crop (bar the mature ages) at this stage looks to have been mostly misses. In a year where we battled, none of the young draftees pushed for selection. Injury may have played a part, but i’m skeptical. I like the look of this years crop. Each of them look to have something special.

Watching the extended highlights video on the MFC website, I thought he moved a little like Charlie Curnow. HB

Steven May and KK get to work. We obviously had some money put aside for Jamie Elliott. I’d be going very hard at him.

Burton reportedly a major factor behind the issues at the Crows. Wouldn’t go anywhere near him from what I’ve heard. Not sure about Camporeale.

I've been really impressed with his composure. Doesn't look flustered at all and has the ability to make space for himself.

Hope KK gets a decent run at it. Let him play for the rest of the year at Casey and get some continuity in his footy and his body (and head).

His sons are the same age as mine. I can't imagine what he is going through trying to explain to those boys that their mum isn't coming home. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Some of you guys are incredible. Need: Fast outside runner with silky skills, good overhead and can kick goals. How many players match this description in the whole AFL? A dozen? Most would have been top 10 national draft picks. This is a draft that’s the best of what’s left. Take the best of what is available. Dunkley looks solid, comes from a strong football family and is 19. He isn’t going to be Josh Kelly or Lachie Whitfield or Tim Kelly or Hugh McCluggage or Ollie Florent. But he might turn into a good player like his brother.

How many times did he not even provide a contest? Shirked the contest a couple of times too. 2 goals from being out the back inflate his stats and overstate his level of performance.

They’ve had two blessed years on the injury front. The weight of averages would say that it wouldn’t go on forever.

Anyone else noticed the total drop off in quantity and quality of content on the official website over the last 3-4 months. It’s a complete dogs breakfast at the moment. I hope whoever is in charge gets a rocket. I understand that over the preseason not a lot happens, but I hoped that with R1 upon us it might have stepped up, but if anything its gone backwards. - No interview with one of the coaches discussing selection. - Two debutants that we haven’t heard anything from. - The photo used for the R1 team selection looks like (on my phone) its been taken with very the first camera invented. - Jay Lockhart drafted last week - haven’t had an interview. Last year there seemed to be an immediacy to the content where as soon as something was announced there was 1, 2 or 3 articles or interviews instantly. Now it seems to be drip fed over a few days. I’m really disappointed.

I too am anxious about the early rounds. Less than confident going into the Port game to be honest.

Has anyone got any intel from Friday's match simulation training? All weekend I've been nervously awaiting the news to drop that "Player A" is injured and going to miss a number of weeks. I'm hoping that no news is good news in this case. Fingers crossed.
