I know we gave away the free but at least Langdon was there to make him earn it

Just need to sucker punch

At least the rain will blind us to their stinky performance

Haha good one Jason, I don't think Melbourne know how to play a simplified gane style
-
This already stinks

Why are we choosing now to make the stupid moves? Goody trying to do a Bevo

The team that wins the flag will probably be the biggest Bradbury of all!

I do stand corrected and apologise, they are all melting into one.

Never made sense picking Hibberd. Give him every chance sure but he really needed a full week at least.

Onya Christian! 5 years sure has flown and you've put a lot of hard work and dedication into what we see as a pretty amazing player that can only continue to improve! It hasn't always been easy and there have been some course corrections on the way, at times you could even put him in the Jack Watts territory of unfair scrutiny but he's navigating all that quite well and looks the part. The no.5 has been a common staple in my matchday gear and made the call in 2016 to once again get a Guernsey with this no. Just wish I could be wearing it to games this year!

If Bennell can't get in with 7 changes what hope does he have?

In terms of single happiest live moments this is right up there. 2000 and 2006 finals the memory was more of the final quarter as whole.

The decision to be great can be confronting. The big change, the responsibility that comes with it, how you are seen in the eyes of your peers. However I don't think anyone who made it regrets it one bit. It's easy to be mediocre, just wake up. I'll admit after the years of mediocrity I as a fan have become used to what comes with it and would find it very hard to be at the top with other clubs and fans gunning for you and willing to put you down at every opportunity trying to say how you cheated or got it easy. I've had many conversations with long time MFC fans over the years who were so used to missing finals that they would rather not make it and deal with the big change that came with it! The reason I say this is because I do believe this decision to be great is not an easy one. We can be content with what we have and be happy with the odd windfall and that is a perfectly reasonable way of living. However I want this group to make the decision. I want this club to show that leopards can change their spots, I want this club to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks, I want this club to give hope to anyone who think they are set in their ways and can't change. To the people that think this is the best things can get in life, I want this club to be the catalyst for not accepting what is going on in the world right now and going on to do extraordinary things. It will happen, I'm sure of it.

Really think the upside is minimal with a win tonight. More just living to fight another day and meaning nothing if we don't deliver the goods later on. No more learnings or positives from a crappy result just do what you're there for.

Yeah no 'feel good' factor for the dogs winning last night. That was a terrible result.

Thanks for your thoughts Jaded it's much appreciated. It's great that you have your partner but by no means does that mean it's heaps easier than us who are alone. The financial impact has been terrible with me as well. Had an investment portfolio that I was steadily building throughout the last 5 years with the view of buying property around now which had about 30% of it gutted instantly. Had my work hours cut to 30 a week (Which I'm very grateful to still have a job, for now). I've tried real hard to not think about the finance side. It's funny because I always consider myself someone who can get by well in my own company and don't always feel up for the Zoom/Facetime/Skype stuff but I have I have to agree Jaded this is one of the single most beneficial things you can do right now and you usually always feel good for having done it. I was playing online boardgames with some friends on Fri night though a site called boardgamearena.com. Trivia would be a great thing to try next actually. Then there's the exercise, I would be absolutely stuffed without it right now. If I had one bit of advice for people of all fitness levels it would purely be to get out in the fresh air once a day. For 60 min, 30 min, 5 min, even 1 min just do it.

Seems like Frost saved his worst for this one.

Some of the up and under kicks were embarrassing

Nah it's just a mind numbing exercise going on there Old Dee. I used to go on a couple but would always leave feeling dumber than when I started. It sounds arrogant but I like talking about football with people who know football. Not so much people who say the most obvious things all the time. Then there's the negatives, as ugly as things get here they multiply 3 times on there. And that's before all the unregulated, allowing racist comments/hatespeech behaviour.

I don't go on the MFC/AFL Facebook related groups. I actually hold them in contempt.

I don't know why anyone takes commentators today seriously and personally, just tune out and watch the footy. But honestly as guy who missed that era I would have loved to listen to Harry Beitzel I can see where Rex got a lot of his influence. Thanks to Youtube I can actually get a glimpse into what he was like as a caller and apart from being an entertainer he really didn't miss a beat. Leek I've really only read stories about but people really liked his kind manner and relatable nature and maybe that is what is missing. We all listen to the BTs and Brayshaws and Russells and while I'm sure they are decent blokes just all sound like clowns who would be d**ks in real life.

This man is brilliant, he doesn't give a toss about asking the brutal questions. Max who I've loved in interviews this year was lacklustre in response. "There are positives to take out of this".Seriously man come on what a complete load. You the man Ben.
