That's exactly right. The endgame isn't just landing a senior coaching gig, it's about being comfortable in the knowledge that you'll be given the time you need to start getting the results. I'd be hoping he takes a look at Essendon and realises it's a tire fire off field and that there's likely going to be better opportunities in store for him with friendlier boards next time round. On the flip side I hope this knocks off the first 2 or 3 candidates and they end up with someone who never thought they were going to get a shot at senior coaching.
