Anyone for cricket?
We disagree again Moderator...You discount psychology...Batting a fourth innings is never the best time to Bat. Ross Taylor said it after day 1...."We made 150, we are still in this Game" He was right.

It is not a contradiction at all, it is about a pitch that was never going to dry out and Batting on it in a 4th innings was always going to be the dangerous part, particularly with a Batting line up that was too old or sadly out of form....Dave Warner the exception.Clarke should have backed himself and his Batsmen to get a score on Day 1 minus Daniel Vettori...the 5 day weather forecast told him that. Our Bowlers did an exceptional job but that Batting line up was to dodgy for a fourth innings chase.

It is actually very dangerous to choose to bat in a 4th innings when it was obvious the match would never last 5 days. A dodgy opener and Ponting and Hussey both past it. Now lets hope some serious selection changes are finally made. We got rolled by a New Zealand side minus Vettori. 150 was a good score on day 1 on that Billiard table. It still had life in it today. Win the Toss.....Bat particularly with an inexperienced and aged line up. Good onya Kiwi's enjoy your winnings.

Khawaja should open with Warner on Boxing Day. Yes he has not made a stack of runs and his technique is still dodgy, but he values his wicket. His technique will improve with that attitude. Warner has little technique, he has brute strength and power. If he can stay in long enough to get his eye in, look out. Without Warner today we would have been bowled out very cheaply. It's dangerous to bat in the fourth innings.

Hughes is so Lucky he has a NSW Passport. How many times is a man allowed to go out playing the same shot? If Hughes was a Victorian he would have already completed an apprenticeship and started a new career, post Cricket!

Ch. 9 coverage is like one big advertisement. I cannot watch it anymore. The 12th man CD's are more informative. Thank goodness for ABC 774 where cricket is still the major reason for being there.

FFS Ponting retire. Your reflexes are gone. Dam Gold contracts. Worst thing cricket Australia ever introduced. Time to go home to Tasmania Ricky. Said it for 2 years.

Nuggets' Music Videos
I haven't given "bigger Bang" much of a listen TBH I find it a little hard to listen to the older Stones. They were just so good in their younger days. After Tattoo You what else could they do? But I will look up Rain and have a listen. Percy Beames was brilliant my dad tells me..

i was speaking more about Aaron's attitude on the park. Big $$$ or not, if it doesn't improve he can expect to be a scorps reguliar.

Neeld pours heat on Demons
Davey's form in 2011 was fairly disrespectful to me as a paid up member. If he doesn't learn to beat his opponent (shake his tag) i fully expect him to play for casey. Neeld was not being disrespectful, just setting the standard for all to see.

He has done this RB, according to the HUN article.

This thread should be pinned for evermore. Two Seds initial post is a fine true piece of writing. He had similiar corage to jimmy stynes. He also had a wonderful sence of humour. "Two Sheds Jackson" is one of Monty Python's best early sketches. We should always remember two sheds. RIP Demon.

Neeld pours heat on Demons
I actually just re-read the HUN article. I don't think Neeld was harsh at all. He is merely challenging a group of AFL elite players, coaches and ultimately himself. As he has said before "i only get one chance at this job" He wants to give it his absolute best shot. If the playing group don't measure up Neeld will go, before the playing group, as what happened to Dean Bailey found out.
