The players let those performances happen. They are paid Professionals and it was a disgrace. Including that game against Essendrug, but 186 was inexcusable because Bailey got knifed by the players who “loved him”. Why the CEO survived i have no idea. That was just pure insanity and it became just that... But we are far to nice to our players, they are very well paid and looked after, we should expect more in battle. Week after Week, not just the odd “emotional game”

No i Disagree. The results would have been very similar, if they had stayed They were not the players to take us to the next level, same with Maloney. We were treading water at best. i am not saying they didn’t try, but it wasn’t going to happen

Fair Comment. But we lacked Leadership when Jnr was in the side, and i am not being disrespectful to him by saying that. Back then we would win the odd big game, and then the week after would crash to the ground. The Strong leadership wasn’t there. I understand why big changes were made, they had to be done. Have never seen those Videos before or heard of the Company. Channel 7 Archives would be the only place i would think that could give you any further information. The Channel 7 masters would have been sent or copies sent to ProFootball. For the games not televised, i know the ABC often sent a single Cameraman to a game. But those tapes would be long gone

Yes it was a bad one, and then he had a year off. Club made a very tough call, but it was the right one. was the only right one they made at that time, granted. Who is making anything up? The whole Club stunk. Including the playing list.

I disagree. Jnr was a good Capain but his hammies let him down. He was taking 6-8 weeks to recover what should have been 3-4 But as i said before anyone involved in 186 deserved to go. We had zero leadership back then

Different issues. 186 stands alone professional AFL footballers allowed that to occur. A real shame they were allowed to play again in an MFC jumper

But how do you do it? I question whether they had given “their all” or given just enough to get a game. 186 was a total disgrace, only Lynden Dunn put in that day. The players got paid, whilst Bailey was thrown into the trash... Echoes of that same attitude still exist (2019)

Every member of that team should have been sacked. I know it is not possible to do that, but it is what they deserved. so much love and respect for Bails...NOT! I recall Brad Green was interviewed by Mike Sheahan days before 186. Wasn’t hard to tell trouble was brewing. Brad was right out of his depth, terrific person Brad, but he was not a strong Captain. Schwab kept his job, whilst Bailey was thrown out Complete shambles and embarrassment

All this talk about Jnr McDonald and other Senior Players of the day being treated badly makes me laugh. They were all part of the problem, all of them had their opportunities to lead and failed. Jnr. had long term hamstring injuries by the time he was asked to move on. People forget he had a year off before Sheedy spoke to him about GW$. all the other leaders were part of 186 See ya. The one (Big) mistake Neeld made, and it was unforgivable was making Trengove and Grimes Joint Captains. Only a fool would do that, and he did it

Let’s be honest. Cale couldn’t handle the pressure of the AFL Competition, regardless of the situation at the club. Neeld was not a good Senior Coach, but he was bought in to toughen the place up. 186 had just occurred The Players had burnt Bailey, even though they all “loved” him

I think i just put in Jacko’s 11 goals and him getting reported!! Extraodinary day. And then later that night Daicos kicked 12 up in Brisvegas I was filthy. We had been overshadowed again!!
