Yes you did. Blacks have been persecuted for Centuries by Whites It still goes on Do not try and change the situation

If Collingwood, Essendon or Richmond played poorly for 50+ years their attendance figures would be poor just like ours can be

A Lockdown Lesson: Old Footy Was Better
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
No. The game of today could not be played IF the interchange rotations were diminished drastically. (it’s why they want to shorten the game...) -
Missing the point Completely....
-
Seems that way. Commentators are to famous now i wish the game to be front and centre
-
Rather injured I thought. Cornes likes to talk about anything

Frank Adams is stiff 6 Flags

I have always thought the MFC have far more supporters than the numbers suggest. they are just “silent” because we have been so poor for so long 2018 gave me a glimpse of that
-
The integrity of the draw is simple. The AFL put the biggest drawing games on in the most popular spots. They don’t hide that fact. We don’t make the grade, because we don’t win enough. We also lose very big reasnoably often. It is entirely up to the MFC to pull itself into the Big League, just like Whorethorn did in the 60’s It can be done, the jury is out on the current coach though.... 2019 was very damaging

So the club has to get better onfield, that should be ingrained into every employee. We will get exposure if we start winning, but we are disposable if we keep failing. i do not blame the AFL for that. The choice is ours. The players must be prepared and coached to handle the job.
-
Absolutely Chook, talking won’t help us anymore, and nor it should. Results onfield are what people turn the TV on to watch, the talk starts the day after.
-
But we don’t have to be a small club. It is we, that put us in that position. That is the crux. I am sure the AFL would love a strong MFC, but we are the only ones who can make it happen. If the MFC make September, we pull a big crowd. But that same crowd are sick and tired of losing... Can you blame them?

I have no idea what you are talking about...

My grandad use to prune the Roses ? to Ground Level!!
-
100% Agree. In 2019 the Club had 58,000 members and then served up that rubbish. Fundamental objective is to win and give our Financial Backers (Members) a good day out That should be the Number 1 on the Clubs list...
-
Poita Members and Supporters didn’t go to games last year because the standard of football played by our team was rubbish and below AFL Standard. that is the fault of the Football Dept and The MFC, not the supporter. it is not cheap to go to the footy anymore, so i expect the team to play at least to AFL standards. Don’t get angry at The Supporters Aim it at the Club & Players
-
Agreed. This should be front and centre otherwise we are finished. Post Corona will be very different
-
That is merely your opinion, which you are entitled to have. I will be suprised if 18 teams survive this Pandemic aftermath We are in a vulnerable position, so i expect the Club to fight hard. The best way to do that is on field. Exposure will improve with wins. The drip feed fixture will determine that
-
After all this Coronavirus madness settles down the reputation of the MFC will mean Bugger all. It will be solely measured on how strong we are and can be going forward. if we continue to be average at best onfield, we will struggle to survive. 2020 is important. We have to perform well

Before the interchange Bench was violated -
Bit early for a $20 mill tin rattle mate Earth is still (almost) turned off. Next year is the time for fund raising
-
Yep i never understood this whole scenario. i hate Poker Machines BUT they are not illegal, anyone over 18 can thump money into them. the AFL obviously went hard on Clubs to do it, but where was the Compensation for it? Meanwhile Betting Apps are shoved down our throats every 3 minutes The whole thing is ludicrous
-
This is the Bottom line. If we don’t toughen up at every level, the MFC will not survive and it will be entirely our own fault. We had it all... including a soft underbelly. i hope Pert and Bartlett realize how tough and nasty the environment will be next year and beyond. Winning on field is the only way to attract Sponsors and TV exposure We have to be ready to fight 17 other clubs or we are gone. There will be no special treatment for the MFC We must make money for the Comp.
-
The only way to change our circumstances is to win games regularly , winners are given exposure That is the system and it is why 2019 was so costly
-
Winning games will get the $$$’s rolling It’s all a bit hollow till then. 2019 took a lot of trust away..
